Came here because of all the reviews I read regarding how good the food was. Was not dissapointed! While there is not much of a selection what we did try was delicious. Took our 11 year old there and she loved it too. They have a bunch of drawings pinned all over the wall we all enjoyed looking at. We even added a drawing of our own. Don't let the look deceive you it was great!

People were nice. Food was medicore. The crab claws had way too much breading on them and the Chicken Au Gratin was far too rich.

A wonderful dinner for two while within a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico. The evening reservation started promptly at 8 pm. The evening started with appetizers and two Perch signature cocktails the Spiritual Healer and the Corpse Reviver. We found the signature cocktails to be unique and distinctive. The appetizers shortly followed. The Seared Scallops were cooked to perfection. Moist and extremely flavorful. The Bacon Wrapped Duck Breast was absolutely the most delicious Duck that I have ever tasted. Our Entrees arrived . The 16 oz Chilean Beef Rib-eye scored points for presentation and was a mouth watering surprise. The Snapper with Saffron Cream, Herbed Lime Rice and Leeks was very exquisite, delicate and tasteful.Dessert was a traditional presentation of Cream Brulee with berries. The staff was attentive and Jillian Cooper our waiter was absolutely delightful. We were celebrating a Birthday dinner and as a special treat we were regaled with a Champagne Sabering demonstration by the Beverage Manager Victoria Schwartz. Rocco Romarelli is the manager of this fine establishment. Contact him personally if you plan to host a special event.Perch offers a level of sophistication and elegance that will be a great attraction to visitors to this area and the Lodge at Gulf State Park.. I am looking forward to a return visit.

Horrible service, one server wore GLOVES outside of the kitchen- touched the back of chairs and the wall then walked back in the kitchen- gloves still intact (GROSS). Prices are very expensive for atmosphere and food isn’t anything impressive. Over all horrible experience. I would also recommend putting an age limit on your kids menu instead of the rude comment from the waitress about her losing her “$80,000 a year” due to letting an adult order from the kids menu (with no age limit printed). Lastly, drinks got refilled once and then tip was pre-added in to total without notice or reason why. Probably because this happens frequently and the waitress needs to ensure her 80k.

We have a place similar to this back home so when we saw it just down the street from our condo we knew we had to check it out. They don't have nearly as many flavors to choose from as the place does back home, but what they do have is all very good. We each got a different flavor and they were all good. The prices were more than reasonable. Just keep in mind that they only take cash. We'll definitely be back next trip.
