Ventura, officially the City of San Buenaventura, is the county seat of Ventura County, California, United States. European explorers encountered a Chumash village, referred to as Shisholop, in Ventura while traveling along the Pacific coast. The eponymous Mission San Buenaventura was founded nearby in 1782 where it benefitted from the water of the Ventura River. The town grew around the mission compound and incorporated in 1866. The development of nearby oil fields in the 1920s and the age of automobile travel created a major real estate boom during which many designated landmark buildings were constructed. The mission and these buildings are at the center of a downtown that has become a cultural, retail, and residential district and visitor destination.

If you like it simple and want to be outside at the Harbor when feeling less fancy, this is the place. New tables with umbrellas are a great addition. Friendly staff. You order inside but the staff delivers to your table. Greats views of the Harbor! Food is always perfectly prepared and the menu variety is outstanding! Lots of open grassy area near the tables. Awesome!

Best bloody Mary! Besides that breakfast was extremely delightful. They serve very unique Benedict's such tri tip, fried chicken and catfish. Everything looked delicious. AND the service was exceptional. I had the tri tip benedict-flavors were indescribable!

Two Trees serves breakfast in the morning, with a wide variety on the menu.Lunch in the afternoon with a wide food and beer menu.The same can be said for dinner.The staff is always friendly, the food excellent!

......and gelato and bagels too, something for everyone here in this cool coffee shop on Main Street. There is seating inside and out, I enjoyed the music played inside.There are some intriguing varieties of coffee including a chilli one!There is a shop at the back selling gifts and greeting cards, good quality items.A perfect and reviving pit stop on a wander down Main Street.

WOW!!!! Stopped in for lunch for the first time and the menu is amazing. So many options and dishes to choose from. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is very friendly. This was an old school coffee shop and serves all the comfort food we all grew up on. I can hardly wait to go back and try another dish.

(And it is great for dinner too) it's a low maintenance place, and generally the owner/head chef seats you too. The food is fabulous, the drinks are, well, drinks, but their wine list is amazing! There are amusing birds playing in the fountain in their courtyard (some of which have names) which views the water of the Ventura Marina. If I could only choose one place to eat at the marina, this would be it!

I really, really do not like kitsch, so had not a friend recommended the Busy Bee, I would not have gone there. But I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. My wife had a pulled-pork sandwich, which was overflowing with juicy, flavorful meat, better than some I have had in barbecue joints. I had a veggie burrito, which has had quite a variety of vegetables -- at least two types of beans, two types of squash, two types of peppers, corn, rice, avocado . . . . It was tasty!Service was reasonably prompt and attentive, although my water glass was never refilled!!! Noise level was OK despite a crowd. The front is quieter than the back.

French toast for brunch was tasty. I prefer traditional maple syrup to their house syrup that comes with this dish. The downside of Cafe Nouveau (upside for them!) is that it's always busy, even on weekday mornings. It's always a wait to get a table and somewhat noisy if you want to carry on a conversation with a friend. The ambiance of the garden setting is nice.
