I was looking forward to enjoying a delicious burger and shake combo at Johnny Pump as the reviews had such hype about the place but was totally underwhelmed by the experience. I ordered the fried chicken burger with slaw and the caramel popcorn and oreo dessert shake. The burger was OK but the shake was like drinking plain milk with whipped cream and drizzle of flavouring over it. One Oreo was cut in half and jammed into the cream. I think the caramel flavouring was sparingly just squirted inside the mason jar for decoration and that was meant to flavour the milk. The ice cream scoop under the pile of whipped cream was not creamy ice cream but watery ice confection with icicles and added nothing to the drink at all. Overall it was tasteless and bland. 4.3 nails it.This is a nice stylish looking place. Itâs housed in a modern building that looks fresh and inviting from outside, to me anyway. A ski lodge in the middle of an airport and its surrounding shops was how my partner described it. A little harsh, I thought. Beautiful landscaping outside the place. Of all things, I particularly love the black mulch theyâve used. It exudes class. Itâs stylish and airy inside the cafe too with an impressive cathedral ceiling. As Illa J puts it so eloquently, all good. So far anyway.My partner chose the mixed greens dish. Very nice it was too. Kale, thrillingly crisp string beans, asparagus, hazelnuts, Spanish onion, maybe some lemon juice and maybe a dash of yoghurt and Parmesan too. Fresh as a daisy and very reasonable for $8.50. Really tasty. A good little dish.My long black was nicely presented on a board with a card with some details about the coffee. It was a Lygon Street single origin, Dulima beans from Colombia. Very impressive beans. It was a beautifully made coffee as well. Strong, rich and delicious. Same with my loved oneâs flat white. Service was good here too. Cooly efficient. Itâs a good place. Itâs a must visit in these parts.

Well established for many years, first visit for quick dinner for 4. Good menu, nice sounding wood fire pizza options, good choice of drinks etc. Decore is grey and black, lacks colour and warmth. Parmas could have had some salad included, not as an extra. Plenty of lettuce in the Caesar. Calamari with salad and chips was good. Average to good local cafe/restaurant. Probably better options in the area.

Itâs the best cafe for breakfast or lunch in our area. Best menu, best quality food cooked to perfection every time. The staff arenât very friendly though. My girlfriend who used to go there a lot thought the same thing. They donât even recognise their regular customers.

Friends of Ours is a great example of why Melbourne is the café capital of Australia. A great local cafe with a diverse menu and competitive prices. If youâre a coffee snob like me, you will recognise that they are using only the BEST equipment - La Marzocco machine, Victoria Arduino grinders, quality beans and they weigh every shot for consistency - in short the staff are properly-trained and dedicated to excellence. There is attention to detail in food presentation and quality ingredients. Highly recommended.

We called in for breakfast after collecting our son and his wife from the airport. The service was sensational and the breakfast was scrumptious. I would absolutely re-visit in the future.

We had heard good reports about Thyme Café so we thought that we would give it a try. The Magic Thyme Latte, the cafe's signature drink was very smooth and creamy, but not much different to other lattes. My companion ordered a chai latte with milk, which was too sweet for her tastes and appeared to be made from powder, which she found disappointing. Soy milk costs extra. That being said, the staff were very cheerful and obliging, and the café is nicely decorated in shades of green.

I go there all the time. At least 3 times a week. Everything is awesome, my favorite being the salmon and quinoa salad. Reasonable prices. The stall across from the cafe with ice creams and smoothies is great too. Ice creams are very well priced at only $2.50. However the smoothies are way overpriced at $7.50. They should be around $5. It gets really packed on weekends and public holidays, so I recommend going early for lunch.Thank You for your kind review!! :)

It has gone down hill a little since the new owners took over. Coffee not as good and the potato rostis they used to have were awesome. Saying that it is still a good spot for breaky. Maybe they may need to lift their game a little to make it as good as it was,.
