The food is great and well priced which is a tough thing to find in Greenwich. They are known for soups and crepes. The soups are homemade and there is always quite a few to choose from. The crepes are top notch. Service has always been great for us.

I have been going to libraries all my life. When I lived in NYC, I belonged to the NY Public Library and used the branches there. When I lived in Scarsdale, NY I used primarily the White Plains library because it purchased the most new books. Every weekend or so, I would check out the new books section there and take home a volume or two. Now that I have moved to CT, however, I have discovered "Suburban Library Nirvana" in Greenwich. Thanks to a $20 million gift to the library (which morphed into $30 million by the time it reached the library's hands) Who knew that you could check out works of art to hang at home? Who knew that you could hear writers speak about their writing process and respond to inquiries from the public? The GPL is a veritable temple to learning that appeals to children and adults alike. The "new books" section is the absolute best I have ever seen. The new wing holds musical concerts and plays films almost every Friday night.

The food is fresh and excellent, and the selection is extensive. However the store is the smallest Whole Foods in my experience.Seating is meager, at a bar. Although Whole Foods offers many wonderful breads, the sandwich counter would only make sandwiches in a hero roll. Other Whole Foods Markets offer extensive restaurant seating, both inside and outside. In making sandwiches, they offer every bread in their bakery. So in other places, one can treat Whole Foods as a wonderful food diner. But not in Greenwich. This is strictly a market and take-out Whole Foods.
