Whoa! This is a great place. Comfortable and casual. Eat inside or out in good weather. Amazing lemon parm french fries. I also turned my sandwich into a salad, which is a really great option. Tempting desserts, fresh ingredients, and fast services. Prices were reasonable too. Iâll be back for sure. The fried chicken sandwich with maple bacon jam turned into a salad instead was outstanding.

Fabulous smoothies, healthy salads and a great overall menu for people who are health conscious and like simple, well-prepared food. Vegetarians will be pleased with the options. The staff are cheerful and helpful. We went there twice, and bought take-out salads for our trip back home to Canada.

The worst experience Iâve had in Great Barrington in decades, the previous bad experience was in 2006. Guess where? Rubinerâs Cheesemongers, run by the same person. After seeing a great movie that took place in Italy, and walking out of the theater transformed, we decided to get a coffee at Rubiâs. When we asked whether they had Stevia, one of the guys behind the counter said âwe only do Natural sweeteners,â as if it was the latest thing to do. I asked because my partner is pre-diabetic, but instead, in loud voices, as if to shame me, they recounted another Yelp customer who asked for the same thing. They laughed about how she should have brought her own sweetener if she was diabetic. But they did this so that I could hear it, and they didnât realize they were complaining about other customers, and shaming me at the same time. What awful store owner doesnât teach basics to their staff? Never talk poorly about your other customers, it looks bad. Really bad. I am never going back to this place. And if Barrington Coffee Roasters had any sense, theyâd be careful who they associate with. There are other cafes to try in town. Skip this one and my advice is that you avoid Rubiners Cheesemongers too. These people are not grateful for the fact that they are in a great town serving people from all over the world. Instead they make you feel lousy for asking for Stevia? Lame.

This newish restaurant in Great Barrington is truly a labor of love for the owners/founders and their chef. Dishes are light and sophisticated combinations. The atmosphere is simple and also very sophisticated. They have a great wine list and if you are into oysters, a terrific oyster bar.... I can't say enough about it... Go!
