I stayed at the Hallmark Inn recently. I went to have my breakfast at Cafe 110. They served my meal and I noticed that my toast didn't have butter. I asked them for butter and they told me that they were out. Out of butter?? Then go to the store and buy some until you can get your usual shipment! The rest of the food was very average. The service was just OK, not friendly, but not out right rude either.

Several of the other reviews mention the poor service ... I think of it as the slow food movement in action. This family-run business takes such good care with ingredients. It's great for a family like ours who has to watch carefully what's in our food. If you're a local, consider the subscription service. If you're visiting and dining in, imagine yourself in a cramped European cafe. But close your eyes and really experience the taste of the food. Wow!

My daughter, who attends Davis, took me and my other daughter to breakfast here. You order at the counter, seat yourself and wait for your number.I like that they have free filtered water at the end of the counter. Their breakfast items are very well flavored. I had the potatoes with eggs. The place is cool and air conditioned. The whole atmosphere and hospitality are well represented by the staff. Very reminiscent of 60's chic. Just very flavorful in more than just the food!

We had an excellent breakfast in this restaurant. Apparently the credit card system they have is an ancient one and so information from my card had to be entered manually... VERY annoying for the overworked staff as well as for the customers...Otherwise, friendly, good service and ambience...
