We happened upon Bluffton BBQ and are glad we did. The place is classic in so many ways, including having a sign over their trash bin that reads, "What Dumb Ass Throws Away Their Plastic Basket"? Their spicy attitude is matched by their food which is high quality meat, prepared and seasoned well, and affordably priced. Thumbs up!

When we're hungry for barbecue...Jim 'n Nick's is the local go-to place. Rarely is there a long line waiting to be seated. They turn over tables quickly. The service is good and the barbecue is the only chain restaurant to receive accolades in Southern Living magazine. One of the best.

I hate that I enjoy this restaurants food a lot!! The ribs are to die for, and the banana pudding... yummmm!!!! Although avoid the cheeseburgers though unless you like hockey pucks stuffed between two pieces of bread?! The cook apparently thinks medium rare is very well done ,almost burnt?!... on the two separate times I ordered the burger meals...!...Bottom line is I guess you canât have everything good food but sucky service/staff ) or (great staff/disgusting food?!)...OHM is the food is great .. staff rude rude rude!! Itâs just dreadful having to order from here for take out the staff makes it down right uncomfortable and extremely unfriendly!... I feel like I am putting them out by ordering!! The likely FINAL Last time I ordered here, I was told a two hour wait until to go order will be ready , on a Tuesday evening at 3:45pm?!! ... Although imagine the surprise when my mom called to place the order 15 min later, she was told only an hour?!... then upon ordering , she was met with a sigh during her ordering, and hung up on before she could order our desserts ?! Seriously?! Then upon picking order up (exactly 1hour later btw!)..., I go inside and the place is dead, and the 7 staff members in the front , didnât bother to greet me, open the front door that two staff members were blocking , and further more were way too busy chatting with each other and trying to put a stupid sign on the window out front!.. meanwhile I had 3 toddlers in tow , and was waiting to be helped! Trying to keep them from grabbing every toy the saw in the front area?! I was to say the least irritated in just 2min of walking in to this place!!! Finally after getting that silly sign to stick up first on the window (priorities!)..the girl @ a snails pace came to register and handed me the bag on the counter, it looked as tough it had obviously been waiting for a bit!!!... Further more the girl never confirms my order just grabbed my card on counter and swiped it?! ... When I asked if everything (, including my desserts after I called back to order).. were they all in this one bag?.. she says Iâm sure just look and check!!! ???Are you kidding me?? Even worse as I check, she just turns and starts talking to the other girl at the register with her! Ridiculously rude service!!In the only 2 other to go orders I have placed here , itâs always been a ridiculous to go order wait time!!!clearly the staff is too lazy and âbusyâ to get it cooked up in a normal time frame it seems, ..so they try to scare off customers with a joke of a wait time when they are clearly not that busy!! ... And then met with extremely rude and arrogant staff members up front chatting about whatever and making this a priority over any customers, myself included!! & I was not the only one treated poorly during the other times I picked up my food there , I witnessed first hand that this despicable behavior was not privilege only to me, oh no , I saw several customers standing in the front to go line rudely being helped and greeted with no smile and a feeling of what do you want attitude?!... just awesome! :/ Itâs just so sad, like I said the food is wonderful, if I didnât have to go in to the restaurant itself and be treated badly after already waiting freaking 1-2 hours for my families (early evening) take out dinners... I would likely give OHM 5 stars!
