I visited El Trasto a couple of times when I was in Salou for one week in September 2017, since I carefully avoided all the tourist restaurants close to the beach and wanted to go for a typical Spanish taberna.They offer a nice selection of tasty tapas at very affordable prices, during the two visits I had:- One tapa of "pulpo a la gallega" (Octopus with paprika and potatoes, a bit spicy);- One "llesca" with tuna (A big slice of crusty bread, with tuna);- Three tapas of different kind (cannot remember, since they were suggested by the waiter, but all of them were tasty);- One "llesca" with Pata Negra.Everything was very good and tasty, and the place is appreciated also by local people (which is, in my humble opinion, the best way to distinguish between a tourist restaurant and a local typical restaurant).If you are looking for a good "tapa" dinner, I recommend this place.Well done guys !

My partner and I walked past Jacks a dozen times or more thinking it looked good but didnât actually visit until last night. Have to say the service was superb and the meal was of the highest quality. I opted for a Tbone and Jen a sirloin and normally in Spain what you order isnât always what you get. Jacks Tbone was a proper t bone and the sirloin a sirloin. Very good value and cooked perfectly. Our host, Alicia, was great fun and her friendly helpful attitude really contributed to a superb evening. Top marks. Thanks.

Nice to see a bar which has the football on which my partner and my dad was absolutely loving. Steaks were tender and cooked exact as specified.Burger was stunning.Pasta was tasty and not at all boring.However, the salad was lacking substance and was very basic. Lovely place overall.

Pooped in for just a snack and was not disappointed a good variety and reasonably priced food/drinks, polite friendly staff and there appeared to be a lot of returning customers, food looked fresh and tasted good, will visit again when in Salou.

So on out first trip to salou we found a beautiful bar called the fox and hounds, the bar staff Andrew and Sam was amazing!! Absolutely beautiful food and the drinks are to die for!! Cheap beer!! And great atmosphere!! Defiantly recommend to anyone visiting!!

Visited this place based on reviews on TA and was not disappointed, arrived at 8.15pm and managed to get a table, good job as the place got really busy!!! Nevertheless the staff we tentative and food was served rather quickly within a very busy restaurant. We ordered tapas Battered Aubergines with Honey, Pan con Tomate and Cheese and Ham dish.
