Meals here with friends a couple of times last week. Good standard of meals and good size at reasonable prices. The mission beach delight special sweets are divine - all berry, chocolate and icecream and superb. Great staff, but some meals were slow to arrive.

Tried this new restaurant in the spot where Ocea Bar was. Had a vegetarian pizza with nice thin base, very tasty. My friend had the calamari which she enjoyed. It was a Friday night and there was a guitarist/singer which was pleasant but I prefer quieter places! Prices reasonable and service and attention was good.

I haven't reviewed any other restaurants on this trip, but this one is special. It is a non air conditioned beach shack (and I still haven't figured out why it's described as Mexican.) We stopped for lunch on our way up north and had amazing burgers and sweet potato fries served with a smile. The food was so good we went 30 miles out of our way on the trip south and again it was outstanding. Both times there were locals who obviously know where to get a delicious, reasonably priced meal.

We were staying in Mission for a few days and visited the Tavern for an evening meal on a Monday night. There were about a dozen other diners that night and the bar area was reasonably busy. We found it had been extended and modernised since our last visit. There is a good range of above average pub style food and the servings are generous. The prices are good and overall we enjoyed our visit to the Tavern. We also found the managers to be friendly and welcoming. The free wifi service is about the best in Mission Beach.Thank you for your kind review and Thank you for visiting with us here at The Tavern. The garage is a small outdoor venue that has a delicious food menu with house made bread, sauces etc and a yummy wine and cocktail menu. We also have a selection of icy cold craft beers on tap. We are open Wednesday to Sunday from 4pm

Were staying near by & heard the live music,so we decided to wander down & have a look.Were really looking for a quiet night in doors,as this was our first night.Decided on a take-away pizza.Ordered the'Smokey Bourbon Chicken Pizza'.Ordered a drink while we waited for our pizza.Pizza soon arrived out & we went back to hut to eat.Pizza was great,with plenty of filling,with a really nice smokey flavour.Service was quick,price was reasonable & atmosphere seemed pretty good as we had our drink.
