The restaurant is located to the North of Neuilly-Sur-Seine, on an island surrounded by the Seine in Paris. It has a mixture of local french drinks as well as the brand names you would expect. The starters were beautiful. We shared two starters which were more than enough for 4, including humous, olives, salami, ham, tomatoes, cheese etc....the range and quality of the two starters that we tried were perfect. Our main consisted of steak, home made chips, salad (with a Dijon mayonnaise) and accompanied with a Peppercorn sauce that makes you want to go to the kitchen and demand the recipe! They also made a beautiful salad at request to the dietary requirements of one of our group. There is a great range of not just French but touches of specialist Italian cuisine centred around quality beef and seafood dishes. JC and Frederic were not only attentive and friendly waiters but took the time to describe every dish on the menu in English (as our french was only passable at infant school!). This seemed of no trouble whatsoever. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and like a friend always told me.....when you want good food, go to where all the locals go! Having the experience of Le Fouquetâs in Paris and as we were recommended to this restaurant, during our one week stay at the Hotel Barriere across the road we went to this restaurant on a Saturday night , were seated next to a six people table and ordered the best plate form the menu a Noye Boef to share as described with fries , and ordered an extra green salad , while waiting no bread was offered and the salad didnât come either.When the meat arrived it looked overcooked and it was presented sliced , we tried it anyhow but it was tasteless, soggy and hard to chew , we called the waiter and told him we couldnât eat it , and we ordered another plate , sole fish , the waiter went to the kitchen and when came back said the chef said it was good!we were surprised that the chef did not bother to come out of the kitchen at all.When the fish arrive we were already served by a different waiter and the fish was served with the same fries that were sent to the kitchen.While waiting the salad never arrived and we saw the people sitting next to us also sending plates back to the kitchen .We had the fish and as we finished we asked for the check and were PERPLEXED to see that they charged us for the meat too ! The meat that according to the chef was good ! BUT NEVER EATEN BY US .How do they choose a chef that doesnât even know how to cook a piece of meat ! Never seen something like this inLe Fouquetâs or any other restaurant! I had a nice lunch here last week with a colleague. Cool decor, bistro atmosphere, reasonable prices and friendly and efficient service. Come early if you want a table for lunch. They also have outdoor covered seating for smokers! The food is good; we had couscous - it was fine albeit a bit dry; it could have use more sauce. Typical French cuisine on the menu - and they always have a plat du jour for lunch too.

We ate dinner here based on the near 5/5 bubbles in other reviews. It was an average hotel restaurant with pretty poor service. We sat and waited and waited for any liquids while watching others seated later getting beer and wine. Waited and waited for the check. Disappointing. Wonderful full on unpretentious bistro cuisine for the adults and great child friendly meals appropriately priced.For the former do try the wonderful lamb, the swordfish steaks , the tartare.Take the family...relax !
