This was our first visit to the restaurant. It was clean, the owners were doing the cooking they come out and talk to the restaurant guests the food was excellent, price was reasonable It has a great history for an old building. Several generation in the business from meat market, grocery to restaurant. Fun place to have dinner.

Mid-afternoon Sunday went in for appetizer platter and soft-drinks. The half-order was just fine for two of us. The server was pleasant and helpful when deciding between full and half sampler. And she checked on us the right number of times even though she was the only server there with 5-6 tables of 2-3 customers per table.The menu has a fair number of sandwiches/burgers and salads on the menu, but we were there really just to eat the greasy bar food (you can get anywhere) so we could get back to finish a project in the vicinity.The appetizer samplers had fried bottlecap jalapenpos, a couple fried dill spears, a couple fried mozzarella sticks, a couple fried cheesy broccoli, a few fried cheddar balls, a few fried corn balls, and a lot of textured french fries.The half sampler was $11.99 and the soft drinks were $2.34 each.I know I could've spent less or about the same at the Bamboo Garden for fresher ingredients, but we were craving the fried-greasy foods and this did ok.A quick look around the bar on a Sunday afternoon saw 4-5 tables, and two pair of ladies at the bar. One of the tables had grandma, mom, and two grand-children. Another had mom, dad and two pre-teen kids. A third had mother and high school or college aged daughter. And a fourth had a man and woman of empty-nester age.At most I'd rate this place a 4 if I'd tried more of their unique offerings (burgers/salads), and I think rating it a 2 would be too harsh. So, saying it's a 3 and that I'd go back seems fairly balanced. It was really the fried foods that we didn't want to go anywhere else for. We wanted them from Scooters, and they delivered a good, average experience.

We take the kids out to eat at Tuckers every once in a while. The pizza and nachos are great, there is pool for the kids (if the table isn't in use) and the beer is cold. What more could a person want? The atmosphere is rough.. if you or your kids aren't used to hanging around some tough-looking people that like to drink (and sometimes have some bad language), get the food to go.The last I checked they also deliver... which is a huge bonus!

It was a nice smallish bar with a small pub type food menu. The place was clean and there was a nice atmosphere. Nothing too fancy, but the service was friendly.
