Went to the restaurant after reading TA reviews~which were mixed. We arrived & were greeted very warmly, shown to a table of our choice & given menus. The staff were solicitous & friendly, the menu was extensive & as we chose our food, the place completely filled up!The breaded chicken was excellent & my penne Bolognese was super tasty - the wine was drinkable & altho not the cheapest, we really enjoyed our evening (my husband particularly liked the key lime pie, but said it shouldâve come with cream or ice cream) Weâll def be visiting again before we leave. Thank you so much 923clarey! Looking forward to seeing you again before heading home :)

A RELAXED SPORTS BARâ¦.Most sports bars are somewhat hectic. Iâm not a fan of that confected bonhomie when fans congregate in a watering hole to watch the big match. Celebrations whenever a goal/try/behind/wicket/yada occurs tend to be way over the top. Heck, even when a big match is NOT on, such places will have several 2nd to 10th rate events on the multi-screens. Iâm nor too whelmed by the Division 23 SCCA Production Sports Car 6 hour race from Navelflint Nebraska. About as exciting as watching grass grow. Crikey, I reckon I could peddle my triathlon bike faster. And Iâm 74. The buzzy engines and banal commentary (mixed in with the other 5 screens) would send a sister of serenity postal after 15 minutes.So yeah, the big plus WARUNG SPORTS BAR had to elevate it above the AVERAGE joint was calm when no important match was on. The screens were but showing what looked domestic soaps. And the sound was muted which allowed the usual restaurant conversation to flow.Other pluses: - no noisy entertainment: many sports bars go to mega-decibel live music in non-big-match times. Or the cacophonous cabaret (what is it with sports fans and LADYBOYS?) Iâm not gonna mention the karaoke machine. All of which I reward with the removal of a rating star (or is that roundel on TA?)- no pricing premium: too many sports bars charge higher prices as a reward for the bonhomie of the groupâ¦.yada. Once again a star-loser.WSB fortunately lacked these short-comings.Otherwise all the usual pluses of the average sports bar were present: okay food and generally good prices, plenty of menu variety, good service and friendly hosts.No tax or service charge added to the bill.SHORTCOMINGS? Not important enough to warrant a loss of a star: A few prices were questionable â idr15k for a small water? Plus our meals took longer than average to arrive â but this could be because they were cooked from scratch, not from long-simmering pots.TIPS â this is a good area. At the foot of the street (JALAN PANTAI SINDHU) is SINDHU BEACH** (150m) with okay sand, a nice lagoon area for a swim/snorkel. Turn right (200m) on the beach path for nearby SINDHU BEACH MARKET** - left (80m) for SANUR BEACH MARKET**. - THE SANUR BEACH PATH is great for an extended walk/jog/cycle (plenty of rental bike places) and goes 4km south/2km north.- JL PANTAI SINDHU allows good access for locals to the beach. CULTURE VULTURES will enjoy the typical Balinese beach scene the few hours before sunset.- this area has a host of accommodation covering all budgets. Not too many modestly priced beach-front joints left but search TRIPADVISOR for INNA SINDHU**(90m). The big INNA GRAND BALI BEACH**(L on path 700m) often has some less expensive rooms and some of BALIâs best but uncrowded beach out the front.SUM UP: Not sure about big event times, but this is one relaxing place at others.**TRIPADVISOR has separate review pages.

Scouted Sanur for sports bar that wasnât too boisterous for my young AFL footy fan kids on holiday. Owner/Manager Caroline reassured the usual expat or Aussie visitor crowds were well behaved. Dinner didnât disappoint. Great tellies, meals (hey first ever chick parmi in Bali) and sea breeze airing out the crowd. Drinks cold. Warmly, Caroline reserved us a good table for viewing the September game. Recommended.

Stopped for lunch here because of the good menu. Turned out the menu is better than the food. Ordered a burger and it was a rissole "sausage meat" on a huge thick/high roll, a poor excuse for a chicken wrap and a chicken burger which just made it okay. The Aussie owner obviously had a reputation which has now slipped, he needs to redo quality.Dear CorneliusM, Over the weekend we've had over 200 patrons with the various sports telecasts being shown. Around 50% of those ate meals, all of them enjoyed the drinks menu and all of them enjoyed the hospitality. We're sorry you've not enjoyed the same experience everyone else has. To clarify, the burger pattie is made from pure Australian imported beef. The Tropical chicken wrap is a fab meal and the chicken burger a firm favourite with many. For reasons you've not really stated, these have not appealed to you. The Australan owner was available when you visited, perhaps you could have told him what the issue was and he could have fixed things for you. At the very least, given him the opportunity to answer your concerns personally. We visited this restaurant in early evening. The staff did a great job taking our orders and making us feel welcome. We ordered burger (in charcoal bun!) and chicken parmigiana, we also ordered a starter as previous reviews said portions were small.The restaurant is bright and well decorated, it is peaceful and great to have a meal with friends. The food was well presented and delicious - I do agree with reviews that the portions were quite small, but still good value for money. It's an excuse to order a dessert too! Went for lunch after checking out T/ Areviews...Ordered open SOURDOUGH toast with mushrooms n CARAMELIZED onions..Fresh n tasty..The honey mustard CHICKEN bowl was very nice too..The FALAFEL bowl was a bit DISAPPOINTING..not much FLAVOUR in the falafel themselves..WILL REVISIT to try DIFFERENT meals from there menu...

Walked in to this tiny, cute and stylish Cafe to have lunch and I was truly surprised about the total fresh and great food there!All employes was oustanding friendly, warm and kind You can have brekki, lunch and dinner as well and also some sweets and really good italian coffee.The Avocado-poached-egg Toast was a real eyecatcher and the bread pudding a real dream.All for an reasonable price, it's a bit recommendation for this hidden place.Thank you for your wonderful review, Melanie B!
