As an indian family vacationing in geneva we were looking for some good indian food and found this place with good reviews after eating at "Bombay" restaurant the night before (which was better due to prompt and attentive service along with larger portions for same price). The service of little india was overall ok, the decor and ambience of the restaurant was great and they had a cool cocktail menu and overall vibe. The food had good taste but the vegetarian menu was small and the portions even smaller. normally get two curries four breads and a rice for four people and had very little curry left when we got to the rice at the end. definitely a place to try if you want decent indian food while in geneva but there are definitely other restaurants to try, namely Bombay.

My daughter comes here regularly and enjoys the food and normally has great, friendly service. We came and enjoyed the food, but had an odd experience with our waiter. My grandson spilled his water across the table. We asked the waiter for assistance. He seemed overwhelmed. Instead of a cloth towel, he proceeded to dab at the puddle with a series of paper napkins. The puddle was still there and we had to ask someone else for help.

The restaurant is stylish, young and modern with a relaxed atmosphere and welcoming service. The concept is Asian-style to share dishes per table. Our Magnea salad as a starter was amazing. As a main we had the black cod which was delicious, also the sweet and sour crispy beef was nice. If you like Japanese food you will love Pakupaku!

The menu has been designed keeping in mind the ingredients that go very well together. We had the bhel appetizer which reminded me of being in the streets of India to taste the street food. For main course, we ordered the chicken with aubergine sauce (highly recommend), prawns curry, garlic naan and chicken biryani, Mango Lassi. For dessert, we ordered the gulab jamun and kulfi and finished it off with authentic chai.Amazing meal great service, very good location (inside the Mandarin Oriental Hotel) and walking distance if you are staying close to Jet D'Eau.Would highly recommed it.Cheers!

We stumbled across this place a few weeks ago when it was closed, saw that other reviews are good and decided to come for lunch. Today, we finally made it!Sake lived up to its promise. Thanks to the lovely weather we were able to sit outside and though it is alongside a road, the river Arve is just 10 metres away, providing a good background. The service is efficient and friendly enough. The food is what you come for, and it is (given the price range) delightful: we had the daily lunch menu which consists of two fixed starter courses and one of three mains. The crab & vermicelli salad was delicious and extremely well balanced: a delight. The second starter, in our case a rutabaga (swede to Brits) veloute, was also delicious, with a hint of curry and some delicate side flavours. Really nice. The mains we had were both very good too: a chicken tepanyaki and battered St Jaques Mussels (scallops); both came in sauces that were well balanced and with a filling amount of sides (rice and veggies; some kind of potato mash). We also witnessed some of the other main course - a sushi selection - being served. The portions looked generous and the patrons satisfied. All of this came at a very reasonable CHF 18 each.Definitely worth a lunch trip. The dinner menu looks even more tempting, having a selection of starters. I feel we may have to return soon.
