Bustling Korean restaurant where the marinated meat selection is cooked on a grill in the middle of the table. We had plenty of food for a cheap price, and an Asian restaurant which is meat-heavy is relatively unusual. The waitresses were circulating and cooking the meat for us, and we took it off the grill when it was done.Unlike other comments we weren't able to book so it was just turn up and hope for an empty table. One reservation is that I think it would be quite hot if the front doors weren't fully open allowing fresh air to enter.

Little Korean secret in Oakleigh which is otherwise inundated with greek & euro cafe culture. Love frequenting here since discovering it in my backyard only recently despite it being here for a very long time. My fav is the Bento box (chicken) served with soup and kimchi. Without fail my other winter fav Soon Doo Boo - soft bean curd stew with seafood & egg- comes with a bowl of rice and 4 kim chi all for $13. I have not ventured to try anything else! Mid week prices are less than weekend. Friendly service with the usual same young ladies. Tip - if you do go with a few people, make sure to ask for separate kim chi servings. They tend to give you the same quantity be it one or two. Sometimes - the bento box side smaller offering varies. Very tasty, very popular with Asians, healthy with no oily residue & salty msg taste that you get with chinese takeaways.

Super delicious food. My favorite are Mighty zucchini vegetarian dumplings and Pork & prawn dumplings. Definitely the best dumplings in Oakleigh. Open kitchen design, so you can see the kitchen staff preparing and cooking. The staff are always polite, respect customers. The manager is also a nice guy, down to the earth, like to chat if it's not busy.Dear BlakeD800,Thank you so much for recommending us. We really appreciate your review. We value every customer, and do our best to provide a pleasant experience every time. We are so glad to see your positive feedback. Thank you again and see you next time. Kindest regards,Kai, manager

TIP. Restaurant is on Stephensons Road. Large car park at rear, with rear pedestrian entrance into restaurant.Smart looking table cloths. Two of us sat in a 4 person booth - nice, comfy, roomy seating. Long tables are available for small groups. At 6pm on this Saturday there were plenty of spare seats.TIP. BYO wine is permitted, but $7 per bottle corkage. The in-house wines are reasonably priced, so leave the BYO at home. Wines available by the glass. Beers available. Food is Hakka style (region in SE China) with Swedish influence. The #5 Hakka Fried Prawns with Steve's spicy Hakka dipping sauce were a delicious entree, and the Masala (spicy) Fish main course (pictured) was absolutely scrumptious - so full of spicy flavours - with Egg Rice side dish. And the Swedish Cake w ice cream for dessert was really good also. We'll have to go back again.

Went to this restaurant chain again because I really miss their roasted tea ice cream which I canât find anywhere else in Australia or Canada. It was so disappointed that the ice cream machine was under maintenance. This is the first time having dinner at this restaurant. Certain items are pricey. The soft shell crab salad doesnât offer full crab but a lot of veggies instead, same situation as beef tataki salad, only few small pieces of beef. Deep fried lots roots isnât bad at all, quite a big portion. It was a hot day (37c) but this restaurant doesnât offer air conditioning, so it was quite hot. Be prepared for that. Good customer service.

Five adults and two young grandchildren were after dinner after an afternoon in Chadstone shopping centre. Luckily for us we managed a seat in this restaurant as we did not have a booking. It was only 5pm and we promised to leave before 6.30.Service was really good but the food was outstanding. We ordered 5 dishes to share with coconut rice and roti as sides.Very cute of the little girl and boy donning aprons and walking the tables.By the time we had finished dinner, the place was getting very full. And no wonder. The receipt include all the food and beer and wine.

I have frequented this restaurant many times and have always had a great experience. Staff are friendly and attentive, the menu has a great selection (including vegetarian options and wine selection), and the food is always fantastic - flavourful and very good sharing portions. I am always left feeling satisfied and eager to come back. If you're looking for a great place to take someone special for dinner, or you're just interested in enjoying some really great Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend you give this place a try. I have yet to come here for lunch, but will certainly be hopping on TA to review my experience.

Judging by the reviews, we must have dined on a bit of an off night. The decor is very nice; parking plentiful; the restaurant was clean; and staff a little slow to take our order initially, but the meals rolled on in good time. The food was the let down on this occasion. Mixed entree was a nice start, although the fish pattie was limp and a bit oily. The main of Porterhouse steak was written to arrive on a sizzling plate, as we see countless times in a Chinese restaurant, but it was not sizzling. The steak was a bit chewy, served blue, which we dont mind at all, but somewhat a let down. The Chicken Curry was average, certainly edible, but not a "wow" sauce that we were looking for. Roti bread was poor, in my opinion. Thin and oily. We all have off nights, perhaps it was just us, and I do admit that we tend to dine at city Thai restaurants, so perhaps we are just used to a slightly higher calibre of Thai, and maybe this comparison is unfair.

This spacious little joint tucked away on Portman street was a surprise! My generous, tasty and filling bowl of homemade dumpling soup with a side order of Chines broccoli with oyster sauce (perfectly cooked!) arrived about 3 minutes after I ordered it! Fabulous service and great value really cheap! There s a window where can watch Mama making the delicious parcels and she makes it look so easy!

Great local restaurant. We have been there a multiple time. Once with kids, and three other times with friends.Food was great, except for one time, when we ordered Salt & the Pepper Squid Salad. Squid wasn't good, it has a smell. We return it, but they didn't offer us anything else and charged us for it...We will definitely will go there again, but no squid for us next time :)
