This is just OK. Food was OK the service was just adequate. If you like Chinese, this is an OK choice. It wasn't bad but nothing to make me want to come back in a hurry.

I had the lunch buffet. The selection was small, but the vegetable selections were tasty, the vegetables crisp and not overdone, and more importantly, were not oily (as is often found in other Asian-style buffets). I was disappointed that there was no fish selection. I think that $15 is somewhat expensive for this buffet.

Unquarked is a venue that serves wine and beer and hosts science talks, open mike night, and board game night. The establishment is frequented by professionals and retirees who like to share a friendly evening with stimulating entertainment. The servers are untrained. They have to be prompted to bring plates, napkins, silverware, ice, straws, and to clear the tables. The food is provided by neighboring restaurants and is hit or miss on the quality. I recently have an Indian lamb dish that was delicious, but was accompanied with instant rice. The hummus was also so dried out that I could hold the bowl inside down and nothing fell onto the table. The chips served with the hummus were hard enough to break a tooth. The attraction of Unquarked is the friendly atmosphere that welcomes the intellectual public so common in Los Alamos. Also, while the servers are untrained, they do try hard and do pick up on expectations. For this remote location, this establishment is a treasure, just have reasonable expectations about the service and the food.

The selection was smaller than other buffets I've been to, but each item I tried was very, very tasty. Everything was clean and tidy with staff wiping things down...nice to see. Each item made its own distinct taste and sauce. There were lots of vegetable choices. Good to see beef and shrimp selections, as most buffets have almostly chicken items. The prices were good. We will return.

Yuan's Dumpling and Noodle House

A locally owned and operated dumpling and noodle house specializing in homemade, traditional comfort foods.

Yuan's Dumpling and Noodle House is an unexpected hidden gem in Santa Fe! It serves a focused menu of ~10 Chinese cuisine items, including freshly-made dumplings (I suggest the boiled dumplings, although the fried ones are good too) and noodles. Authentic taste and cooking style in an unadorned eatery that was very busy during one recent lunchtime.Apparently recently opened, Yuan's is tucked away with little obvious signage in the same complex as the Bradbury Science Museum.

This is a great, quiet place to indulge in delicious Japanese/Korean Food. My husband and I have only been here for dinner, but each visit has been good. The menu is diverse; I believe most people could find something here to suit their tastes. I recommend giving this restaurant a visit (this place is much more superior than the other Asian food options in Los Alamos).

Cafe Sushi

And it has never let me down! Truly fresh fish served promptly and professionally by a husband and wife. He is the master sushi chef, she does everything else! Get there early though. It is popular and when they are out of fish, they close, so the hours are short both at lunch and dinner. But so good!No alcohol but great tea made fresh with loose leaf and added flavors, no pre-made tea bag here. The miso soup for starters is great and they always serve fruit to finish off the meal. Not only good but healthy!
