There are a bunch of food trucks nowadays. I don’t remember this the last time we were in Kauai. In this area, there are a few food trucks and seating. We were really looking forward to ramen, and Naruto Noodles did not disappoint. They have a pretty good selection of food, including ramen, noodles and rice dishes. They even have boba tea!My son is allergic to egg, so he can’t have the ramen. But they told me that have rice noodles that they would make in a separate pot to avoid any cross contamination. Overall, they were very friendly and helpful. We are definitely going back here.

Dim N Den Sum

I was so excited when I saw this food truck; we literally “saved” our meal here for one of our last days on island. We were so disappointed. We ordered the shumai stick (slathered in a heavy sauce that ruined it), breakfast sandwich (dry and flavorless), poke nachos (again, heavy disgusting sauce, still partially frozen and pale tuna, inedible) and shrimp bao (the best of the worst- basically fried shrimp on a flat bao- like a taco). Maybe Hawaiian-style dim sum is supposed to be this heavy and clunky? Regardless, we did not like it and threw almost everything away. I was frustrated we wasted a meal here.

Our reservation was 8:30PM on Friday night. Service was slow. Not sure if this was a one-time occurrence or a recurring problem.Enjoyed the Kanpachi (yellowtail) carpaccio appetizer, but it was a small serving. All times that I ordered yellowtail appetizers in Hawaii, it was a much smaller portion than when I ordered tuna. I wonder if it's because this fish is less plentiful or more expensive in Hawaii than ahi tuna.I enjoyed the baby greens salad. Stevenson's Library restaurant is on the grounds of the Grand Hyatt resort in Poipu, and all restaurants I visited at the Grand Hyatt offered salads using delicious fresh crisp greens grown in a greenhouse on the resort grounds. If you enjoy salads, I recommend ordering one in any restaurant in the resort. If you're staying in the resort, visit the greenhouse during the day; I think it was near the tennis courts.

My wife and I had dinner at Roy’s Eating House 1849 in Koloa in late September 2019. My wife had the Butterfish bowl and I had the Blacken Ahi. My Ahi was excellent however, my wife’s Butterfish was fishy tasting and disappointing. Our service was slow for reasons never explained to us. Roy’s is expensive and it is nice to treat yourself to a great meal occasionally but our dining experience was not special that evening. We have eaten at numerous Roy’s before and will again as this dining experience was probably an anomaly. There is free parking nearby.
