6.30 Arrived and they couldn't find my booking. Loads of huffing and puffing. I was so perplexed as there were only 5 other tables in.6.50 Waiter finally finds his way to our table to take order.7.05 Drinks arrive7.15 Poppadoms arrive7.40 mains arrive (have you spotted anything), yes thats right, starters hadn't arrived. Waiter was summoned and told us he couldn't understand English. Manager comes over and tells us we didn't order starters. Lady from next table comes over and asked what starters we had ordered as they had just eaten them thinking they were complimentary!!!Then we discover my wifes veggie dish was chicken. 7.45 New main dish ordered for wifey and mine was taken away.8.10 Wifeys veggie dish arrives along with my original dish which had obviously been left under the grill and had by now a thick crust on it.9.00 (2.5 hours after arriving), we receive bill which had additional drinks added. This appears to be a common theme. Complained to disinterested Manager who shrugged his shoulders.Wonder if the mobile home in the car park in which waiters live has planning permission?

We visited Conwy during October half term and googled a few restaurants. We took advice from Trip and booked a table for 21:30 Saturday night. Not disappointed, friendly staff from Bradford area; travelling this each day is probably why they don't dine really late. Able to take your own drinks and well priced quality food, didn't feel rushed and openly chatted to the staff. We were certainly not disappointed. If we resided locally, this would be a firm favourite to visit.

One of Toptables favourite hidden gems, Colwyn Bay offers a surprise in the shape of The Tamarind Thai Restaurant. Reliably fantastic food and always excellent service have ensured that The Tamarind is a local favourite and always, always busy. The cos
We were staying nearby and had become disillusioned by our experiences, and the reviews, of local pub restaurants. The reviews of the Tamarind, coupled with our love of Thai food, made it an obvious alternative. First impressions are misleading - a dining room (which presumably also serves breakfast) in a nondescript hotel. Look past this. We were welcomed by the proprietor with genuine care for our comfort. The 2 young ladies serving were helpful, welcoming and attentive. The food was amazing. My wife said it was the best Thai food she had tasted - and I rarely dare to disagree with her. Try menu item 31 if you like steak - splendid. If you are in the area, and similarly disillusioned with the offerings of local pubs, call in at the Tamarind. You will not be disappointed.

Whilst the staff are friendly, the food was of a poor standard. Not particularly tasty and the meat quality wasn't very good.Worse sheesh kebabs and biryani we've ever tasted.

We tried the Rhos Tandoori rather than our regular Indian take away as it had been recommended by friends. The service was good during the ordering process, the food was prepared in reasonable time. Unfortunately, the food missed the levels and depth of flavour that we have from our favourite take away. Although we had different curry's there were far too similar in flavour. It was ok, but certainly not outstanding.

We have eaten here about six times now and the food and welcome is constantly good with plenty of dishes to choose from. You can return to the buffet counter as many times as you wish and can therefore eat as much as you want! The seaweed is excellent as is the duck and pancakes, the chicken satay and the spare ribs. The owners and staff are always friendly and polite and they are quick at clearing the plates away so that you can go for the next course! There are no posh tablecloths and napkins, they spend the money on quality ingredients. We have also been for a takeaway which for about £5 you can fill a medium sized carton which they supply. Great value.Definitely worth a visit and we recommend.

This is a very good quality indian takeway, the garlic chilli chicken is the best around go for it. Good menu choice and half price on Sundays.

Having visited a few months ago, and had an excellent meal, we were looking forward to another. Service was excellent, again - but what on Earth has happened to the food? The lamb was like boot leather, the medium curry far too hot, the rice lukewarm and greasy. I'll give it one more try (Best out of three!) and if it hasn't improved - will have to find somewhere else.

The best Chinese food I have had in many years . Both starters and main meals were cooked to perfection. I had the Squid and King Prawn in Garlic and spring onion. .. not chewy just perfect with great flavour. Lovely friendly service.
