It is located some 25 kilometers north east of Geneva's city centre, and since the 1970s it has become part of the Geneva metropolitan area. It lies on the shores of Lake Geneva and is the seat of the district of Nyon. The town has (as of December 2016) a population of 20,272. It is connected to the rest of Switzerland by way of the Route Suisse, the A1 Motorway and the railways of the Arc Lémanique.

This pub has a really fun atmosphere. Their is lots of sports always playing and their is a nice buzz inside.Staff are friendly and the beer is not overpriced. The food is not really made but more 'warmed up' but this wouldn't put me off coming back.I would highly recommend this place.

Cactus Jack is very well located, being just in front of Nyon's rail station. The first impression when entering the bar is a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere with wooden tables and a mixture of tex-mex / surf decoration.The hamburgers were very tasty and originals, including one with a "tomme vaudoise" (local creamy swiss cheese from the region).We also had some good drinks including a home made Mojito.Strongly recommended for the fun and the food!

Rien à dire , une merveille! Personnel très agréable, service aux petits soins. Des recettes de burger très créatives, variété de pain, bonne qualité de viande, sans parler des frites maison à la patate douce. Voilà de bons burgers qui changent de l'ordinaire. Certainement, je serai de retour!

Tartines & Co is situated at the New Prairie residential and commercial complex at the entrance on Nyon and is a perfect place for the residents to unwind and enjoy something to eat or drink. They have freshly baked breads and pastries, freshly squeezed juices, local speciality food products, a full range of coffees and a nice light dining menu. The produce is locally sourced and it does make a difference in taste and freshness. Have visited a number of times and satisfied every time. Give it a try!

5. Happy Days Diner
Happy Days is the first American Diner in French-speaking Switzerland. It opens its doors in Versoix in 2009. 10 years later, a second restaurant is born in Nyon. Unique venue of its kind between Geneva and Lausanne where we enjoy a real American Brunch.

From the formica tables to booths (all imported from America) the entire decor is vintage American diner material.The waitstaff is fantastic and super friendly. You walk in with a smile and you walk out with a greater one.Breakfasts are great, and burger are too. Sides of onion rings (yummy!) Prices are lower than any other "American" in the Suisse Romande. If you know the Happy Days coffee in Versoix, then you already have an idea of this place. I walk into this place and I feel like I'm in the states.
