I typically think Sizzler has a great salad bar. This time I was standing in line for 15 minutes and then 2 people in front of me speaks to manager about their party of 30+ people. The manager asks are you paying for the check as one party - they say no individual checks. The manager then allows 30 people to come around me and my wife in line and cut in front. It is now another hour before we can get to the cash register just to order. Forget that - you lost me and several other guests. My husband and I came here for a nice breakfast. Food was great! Service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. We are very happy we tried this place. We will definitely be back!

We found this restaurant while on the road and enjoyed the diner quality, Great food and service. The side salad was huge and everyone enjoyed their meal.

I was asked what did I want for my birthday? I said Country Skillet for breakfast!! I am NEVER disappointed!! You eat well and can get overly stuffed!! The food is as though you made it yourself sometimes better. Bathrooms are clean and the waitresses are delightful!! Someone always comes by, filling your drink to the end!! Absolutely wonderful!!

Rolling CA 99 looking for lunch I searched the Manteca map and found Billie's Hillbille BBQ. Far better than any of the big BBQ chain outlets.With Ma & Pas Kettle playing on the big screen and Bluegrass music in the backgound I really enjoyed 2 pulled port sliders (you can get 1, 2 or 3), just the right portion and a reasonable price. DW had their Port Puffs, tasty, tender pulled port i deep fried pasty dough. Liked Pa's sauce as it had more kick than the Billie's Pride or the sweeter style Ma's Favorite. Service was personable and prompt. Owner told us the story of the place, it was going to be a chicken wings joint, but they swtiched to BBQ.Not a big place and a couple of mile off the highway, but on this day, at least, we found it well worth the search.

On our way to San Francisco from Yosemite and drove through Manteca for a bite to eat. We randomly came across Jonny's not far off the freeway and decided to head in. We were greeted at the door and quickly shown to our seats. The delightful Jackie came over to take our order, she was very friendly and told us about the local area and some of their best dishes. She recommended the Steak off the specials board. I did not hesitate in taking her up on this and told her to put me down for one. My friend had the pork special. All accompanied by two refillable coffees. Jackie first of all brought us some coffee, she gracefully placed the mugs in front of us at just the right angle from the edge of the table and distance from my arm so I could relax in the comfortable and roomy chair whilst I sip on a my perfect temperature coffee. Jackie brought the food out very elegantly, she would not look out of place in a luxury restaurant. Nothing was too much for Jackie, she refilled our coffees at fantastic intervals, never letting it go too cold. It was no surprise when she came over to see if everything was ok with our meals. I fancied some BBQ sauce, was this a problem? No, course not, not for Jackie, she wizzed away and brought me dish on BBQ sauce to order, served with a smile on her face. The prices were very good and the portion sizes were amazing, not to mention the quality of the food was out of this world. Jackie soon came to clear the plates away, she filled us up once more with coffee, she wanted us to be alert for the drive to San Francisco. It was shame we had to leave I would have stayed there all night. Would love to visit this place again, when I'm next in California I shall make sure I take a trip to Manteca.Special mention goes to Jackie she thoroughly deserved her tip!

Overall it was a good dinner! I had the crispy chicken tender salad. It was fresh, large portion and tasty. The staff were really nice and my waiter Rich was attentive. The location is right in front of the theatre so that is convenient as well. Overall, it was a great experience.

Came here with daughter and her family. A party of 7 or 3 generations. Found something for everyone. Quickly seated with menus. Attentive service throughout our time there. Large portion sizes for all, some take home.Will return to this or another Black Bear

My wife and I stopped by for an early dinner on Valentineâs Day without a reservation. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu is impressive and it was a difficult decision to decide what to have. We split a seared Ahi tuna which was perfectly done. We then had their Tuscan steak flatbread which was wonderful! Add to that a wide selection of beers and we had no room for their tempting dessert menu. Next time.
