We chose Bottom's Up in Lebanon because it was half way between Indianapolis and Crawfordsville, so it was a convenient place to meet. Being next to a truck stop, I have to admit that I had low expectations, and wondered if I should have a hasty exit plan if I needed to run out of there for my life. I must say that I was thoroughly surprised at how much fun I had and how much fun everyone else was having. Yes, there were the trucker types who lustily ogled every female that came through the door. But other than that the clientele was pretty normal and entertaining. I don't smoke, and I was worried that the snoke would get to me. We were there for three hours and the filtration system must be pretty good because I barely noticed it until the place started getting really busy around 10:00pm. It clearly is a locals hangout because many young females came in to hang out and dance. They even had a female DJ come in to get the party started and keep it going. They had several pool tables that were free to use, and even some kind of shuffleboard game. I did not eat but my friend did, and he said the sandwich he had was pretty good. All in all, if I lived in Lebanon I would still choose to go the extra 20 or 30 miles to a more progressive place in Indianapolis. But if you are staying in the area and you want a decent place to go, then check this place out. You can have a lot of fun!

Sometimes I hate the word "average". It does nothing to attract your attention. It is middle of the crowd, hidden on both sides by extremes. Offers little reason to return. That is the way it was on this visit to the newly remodeled Denny's Restaurant in Lebanon. It seemed our waiter was new, although he seemed to really be trying. The service was slow, although I will have to say we had a group of eleven. That is always hard to deal with in the best of times. We were there at noon on Sunday and they were pretty busy. Another reason to cut them some slack. But in such a completive market a restaurant has to be "above average" if they are going to survive. This one needs a bit of attention from upper management.

Parts of the meal were spectacular others were lacking. The footlongs tasted awful. The watress forgot we asked her to hold some condiments. The turkey sandwich was delicious! It had at least 7 tender and tasty deli slices. Service was a little slow meaning you had to wave the server down for refills.

Stopped here for lunch with a friend. Took a long time to order. Finally got our food, asked for ketchup, never came back with ketchup. By the time someone came back to check on us, we were done anyways. Got the regular 1/4 pound cheeseburger and it seemed pretty small for a 1/4 pounder. Fries were super delicious though. Overall.....not impressed. The servers seem more interested in taking care of the bar area than the rest of us.

If you were not looking specifically for this place, you might miss it, and that would be a shame. Great diner food. It was lunch time, but my husband wanted breakfast type food. This place has both. I had a really great hamburger, hand pattied and cooked to perfection. The fries were really great, too. If we are ever back in Lebanon, we will be sure to stop by again. Service was very good and the prices were more than reasonable.

Parky’s Smokehouse is a family-owned and locally operated venue for smoked barbecue and steaks. They have family room and bar side inside seating as well outside seating on their summer patio. The restaurant has plenty of free parking in their own lot. They are conveniently located on the North side of Lebanon off N. Lebanon Street / Highway 39. They offer a full bar with cocktails and local / craft beers. Their menu includes Baby Back Ribs, Pulled Pork and Chicken, Chopped or Sliced Brisket, Smoked & Grilled Prime Rib, Steaks, Burgers, Hand breaded Tenderloins and Stuffed Quesadillas. We tried their Vegetarian Quesadilla (Paris dressing, pineapple, tomato, cheddar, provolone, cannelini beans, carrots, peppers, mushrooms and red onion), Blackened Salmon (blackened and seared with a baked potato, garden salad and Balsamic Vinaigrette), Beef Brisket Dinner (8 oz. of spice-rubbed, marinated, hickory-smoked, hand-pulled brisket with fries & cottage cheese) and Hawaiian Pulled Pork Sandwich (pulled pork with pineapple, provolone & hardwood-smoked bacon). Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the brisket dinner which was quite nice. The service and atmosphere were both very good. We would have no issue returning to Parky's to try some of their other offerings.
