I started a new job in Lanham back in February and stumbled upon CUC by chance. Since fried chicken is my favorite, I gave them a try and the chicken there is my all time favorite out of all the chains. I recently broke my norm and ordered the fried shrimp recently, and even the shrimp surpasses all others. Most importantly, the owner/manager is really on point. He greeted me with a sincere thank you and told me of the day's special before even reaching the counter. He ended up taking my order and in the short time it took to place the order and process the payment, we spoke about my job, my upcoming trip to Costa Rica and discussed our shared difficulty in master Espanol. He truly knows the value of his customers and of customer service.

Same quality and taste of the Irie Cafe carryouts, upped a few notches by the full restaurant, bar and expanded menu. The only location to offer Jerk Salmon and Shrimp, which are amazing.

Everything was freshly made and delicious. I had Cuban pananni sandwich with side salad. My daughter had fried chicken, mashed potatoes and collard greens. My son had the shrimp and chicken chorizo pasta. All great. Atmosphere was fun.

We were staying at a nearby hotel for a concert and missed our free breakfast due to oversleeping! So we had breakfast out. Seated and greeted by our server immediately. Coffee was hot and good. I ordered the current combo, 2 eggs, 2 meats of choice, 2 special flavor pancakes of choice (I had vanilla cinnamon-yummy) and hash browns. All very good and way too much for me to finish. My granddaughter had regular pancakes and my daughter also had the combo but with French toast. We all liked our breakfast but our service was just wonderful and his name is James.This is a little tricky to find. You can see the name on the complex sign street side but the restaurant is around the side, not visible from the street. You turn into the parking area and one way is the shops and the other is to the hotel. You can find the restaurant by driving around the hotel as well. Plenty of parking here, some may require a short walk

The food is hit-or-miss and Mike has resisted including many vegan or vegetarian options, despite a growing range of tasty options.It's geared towards folks who like a super loud (aka "vibrant") atmosphere. I prefer to hear my table mates.Been going for 20-some years. Love the shop and his leadership in the community, but we've found the restaurant lackluster, given the growing options.

My daughter organized a mother's-daughter's dinner at SoBe Saturday night on the 3rd of November. There were 6 of us. It was our first time coming. The place is beautifully decorated. While we waited for our party, I noticed some folks were turned away. Apparently some of the young men had on tennis shoes. They don't allow that for Saturday night. I'm good with that. Folks need to learn to dress up every now and then. Any way, on one side was the restaurant and the other the bar and lounge. We were on the restaurant side, but you can fully hear the live band. And when that band played, ALL conversation ceased as it was very loud. In between band sets, good old school music was piped in through the speakers. Frankly, that was all I needed. But I do love a live band, but not when I'm eating and trying to converse. They had a fabulous menu! I love oxtails but I am very funny about them. Not everyone can make them right, and coming from a West Indian background, I decided to pass on them. My girlfriend got them and gave me a piece, but she had to exchange it. It wasn't up to our standards. As a matter of fact, if they let my friend cook them, that would be all people eat. She can really punish some oxtails to perfection! Any way, our daughters all got the shrimp and grits. I am prone to gout, so I couldn't eat the shrimp. But those grits!!!!! OMG. Sooooooo good. Next time I go, I'm going to see if they let me get salmon and grits. Its not on the menu, but if you don't ask, the answer is definitely "no". We all got and shared appetizers. Mussels, catfish fingers, burgers sliders, and lobster bites. Nice hot rolls with that good butter you can never find in the store, lol. For dinner I got the $29 pork chop. And I mean chop singular. It was thick, juicy, and well cooked. It was incredible. No complaints. Loved the light sauce which kissed the vegetables and garlic mash, and added to their taste. And we had the best waiter. Cute young guy with dreds pulled back into a pony tail. Wish I could remember his name. Very nice and patient young man. He had an awful lot of tables but served us well. (PLEASE NOTE: Check bill. Gratuity was added even though the bottom of the bill asks if you'd like to give a gratuity.)In any even, I absolutely loved this place. I plan to go again but not when there is a live band. But it was not a deal breaker.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. My husband and I got here right when they opened at 9am. The Waitress came over and offered drinks. We placed our order. Another waitress came over to say she was the waitress and the other was new. She stated there were no soda products, only decaf coffee with original creamer and apple and orange juice only. We have placed the drink order. We placed our food order which was the showstop omelette and chicken and waffles. The waitress came back to say no waffles but I can get the French toast and waffles (i was charged extra). Cool. They brought my husbands bacon out.....8 minutes later his omelette....2 minutes later his sausage. Me? No food yet. Waited another ten minutes and watched people that came in after us get their food and then mine came out. Pretty good but our food should have come out together. I want to support but they have to do better. You canât be featured on TV with sub par service.

The Burger Bar is a breathtaking burger experience. I was referred by a co-worker and was very pleasantly surprised as I hadn't even notice this place was in the Wegmans! Be prepared for delectable entrapment when you taste the maple onion bacon burger for the first time. No additional condiments needed. The shrimp po'boy is another pleasing selection but it's seasonal so get it while the getting is good.

We were seated at the front entrance. The waiting area was behind us. People were overflowing into our dining space. A few even watch us dine. The noise level was unbearable. We could hardly hear each other. Our server was missing in action practicality the whole meal. Our drinks never got a refill. My entrée was Prime Rib. The cut was burnt black around the edges. The server never came back to ask if the meal was satisfactory. It wasn't the quiet and romantic place to share a dinner. For the price we paid, the service, and the extremely loud background noise levels. We probably won't return.Hello, we are so sorry to have disappointed you Lary. I ate here because I am enjoyed eating at their location at BWI airport. There is an expanded menu with a large selection of healthy choices and you can get breakfast all day. I had a tasty eggbeater omelette with a health shake. The service was friendly.
