My most recent visit to Capital Grille was disappointingly subpar. Having dined here and the Rockefeller location on a few occasions I expected a wonderful dining experience, unfortunately we had the complete opposite experience. I made a reservation for my friends birthday. Capital Grille is normally one of her favorite restaurants, so we figured a shopping trip and dinner would be the perfect way to celebrate. I made a reservation for 7pm, which was confirmed. We arrived promptly and were escorted to a table, we passed a booth (no reserved sign on it) so we asked the hostess if we could sit there. She said she would check and that we could sit there while we waited. She came back and said we didnât reserve a booth so we couldnât have that table??? Hmm, i advises her I had actually asked for a booth when they called to confirm. The hostess replied âokay sit hereâ and walked away. The waiter brought us our menus. We were discussing the drink menu when all of a sudden the male host comes over in a huff saying that we didnât reserve a booth and if we want a booth we have wait in the lobby until one is available! I was shocked by his rudeness and the forcefulness of his statement. I immediately got up and went to the hostess station and asked to speak with the manager. The manager did apologize and we remained at the table, but honestly the entire situation was disappointing. Our waiter Sheik, was wonderful and the food & drinks were good, but after my experience, and with the way we were treated I doubt i will return. With so many other good steak houses on Long Island I will stick with Del Frisco, Tellerâs or Peter Lugers where they value their guests and treat them with respect. If you choose to dine here, please know you must request a booth if you want one, and that you run the risk of being treated rudely. It is incredibly disappointing to hear your friend's birthday experience was overshadowed like that, k g. This was a special evening and we would have wanted everything to be perfect - much like the experiences you mentioned having with us and in Rockefeller in the past. I am thankful we had the opportunity to address things that evening, but wanted to extend this invitation to connect as well. Hofstra arranged for a luncheon in this elegant private room. The setting was exquisite.The food even better. The only reservation i had was they were a little short on help.However, they were very anxious to please.The salad was beautiful AND delicious. There was a choice for the main.The dessert was a Flouerless chocolate cake.Absolutely special.

The best skillet omelets I've eaten. The boss n staff are awesome. Always busy there. My favorite is the chicken and leek frittata with little bit of hot sauce OMG. Mmmmmm mmmmmm good. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes eating breakfast anytime of the day. P.S. they have other great stuff on their menu but I go there just for the breakfast items. So if you're in Carl Place and you're hungry go visit them. They won't disappoint you .I use to eat breakfast at diners and then I tried this place. Never went to a diner to eat breakfast again.

I was here two weeks ago with my boyfriend and another couple. I could not believe how delicious and how big the portions are. The dinner special is amazing. The section is the largest I have ever seen, The food was really fresh and very tasty. You can't beat the value. I had the seafood platter and it was wonderful. This is very good place for a great night of delicious food.

The atmosphere and energy were good. Large space with a nice layout. TV's at the every booth plus large screen TV's all over the restaurant. Perfect for Sunday Football. The menu was rather limited, especially when you compare to some place like Miller's Ale House. We also thought some of the menu items such as wings were on the expensive side. $14 for 10 wings. Most sports bars offer specials during football season, especially on Sunday and if they had any, we were not told about them nor were they posted anywhere. My wife and I both ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. Neither of us thought it was good. The meat was dry, it came with a sprinkle of onions and even the amount of cheese on it was rather skimpy. It comes standard with potato chips which did not seem like they were house made. You can substitute or add sides but everything was an upcharge. My son ordered the cheesburger with fries. A $1.00 upcharge for fries, nothing to complain about really but is that necessary over potato chips? I have to say, when we walked in, we expected more based on the appearance and atmosphere. It was funny, my wife joined the rewards program while we were there and when we got to the car when we were done, she said, I don't know why I bothered, I don't see us coming back here. There are just too many better choices in this vein of these types of restaurants that serve better food at a better price to bother with this one.

Three of us went to Jake's for dinner. Service was great, and whilst chosen wines were not available, the wine waitress suggested a delicious substitute. The steaks were perfectly prepared, and the atmosphere was buzzy. Would certainly go again

I met some co-workers at Major's for a "working dinner". We were a party of six who met at the bar for a drink and then we were seated at our table. Our waiter was attentive and took our drink order as we looked over our dinner options. He suggested the Super Seafood Combo for 4 and we also ordered a Fried Calamari as our appetizers. We shared them both and everyone enjoyed them. For our entrees we ordered a variety of Steaks, a Salmon, Lamb and I got the Seared Tuna. I have to admit, It was actually better than I thought it was going to be and it was perfectly seared and crusted in black & white sesame seeds. It came wit Wasabi mash and I ordered the creamed spinach too. I totally enjoyed my Tuna and ate every bit!Desserts time came and we ordered the cheesecake and the key lime pie. Both were goof but nothing special or distinctive to make it a WOW dessert.Everyone enjoyed their meal and there were 6 happy faces and full bellies upon exiting. If I am back in the neighborhood, I would not have any problem returning for that Tuna Again!!

Big disappointment. Went there for lunch . Order two dinners and some soft drinks, one meal comes out ok , the second meal came about and when I started to eat the meal it was ICE COLD in side. Told the waitress , she apologized. It wasnât her fault , but when she took it back to the kitchen , you can here the kitchen staff say , STICK IT IN THE MICROWAVE AND PUT MORE GRAVEY ON IT. THEN THE MANAGER AND OLDER MAN COMES OUT WITH THE DISH IN HIS HAND. Told him to take the dish back and TAKE IT OFF MY BILL!!!, PORK HAS TO BE FULLY COOKED . WAKE UP IN THE KITCHEN. i went two times for the first time within two weeks apart from each other. We got gift cards for xmas and wanted to use them. The first night we came I had a salmon with a lemon butter sauce,and I love salmon but I was VERY dry.Didnt complain, don't like to do that.the second time I came I had the smothered chicken and it was pretty good. The waiter forgot our butter for the buns and even though we asked him, he never bought it.I had two sides with my dinner ,ceasar salad and a cup of chilli. The chilli was just ok and the ceasar salads dressing could of used a little more zip. The chicken breast was pretty good and filling enough so it was fine. I don't know if I would say its a great restaurant,i still prefer applebees and chill;s as far as chain restaurants before it.I dont know if i would be coming back unless with a group and someone wanted to go.Its just ok
