Find out what American restaurants to try in Dallas. Dallas (/ˈdæləs/) is a city in the U.S. state of Texas. It is the most populous city in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, which is the fourth most populous metropolitan area in the United States. The city's population ranks ninth in the U.S. and third in Texas after Houston and San Antonio. The city's prominence arose from its historical importance as a center for the oil and cotton industries, and its position along numerous railroad lines. The bulk of the city is in Dallas County, of which it is the county seat; however, sections of the city are located in Collin, Denton, Kaufman, and Rockwall counties. According to the 2010 United States Census, the city had a population of 1,197,816. The United States Census Bureau's estimate for the city's population increased to 1,317,929 as of July 1, 2016.

I saw a segment on PA Live last night about Little Lenny's Cheesecake Bakery at Yalick Farms and I decided to take the approx. 35-mile drive from Scott Township to check it out. I opted for the scenic route through Waverly, Falls and Ransom, which made for a lovely drive and a nice change from I81. Little Lenny's is located in the small retail building out front of the Yalick Farms development. There were many dessert options along with cheesecake, including cannoli, tiramisu, cinnamon rolls and pastry. I decided on an individual-size lemon cheesecake and a cup of coffee. The cheesecake was very creamy and the lemon flavor not overpowering. I have to tell you, too, that the coffee was excellent also! Their gourmet cheesecake menu lists 47 (!) flavors of cheesecake that can be ordered, along with 9 flavors of specialty gourmet cheesecakes, along with 4 kinds of cream pies and 6 kinds of crumb pies (some seasonal). The person who waited on me was pleasant, friendly and helpful. The owner came out of the kitchen to say hello and introduce himself. All in all my drive and visit to Little Lenny's Cheesecake Bakery made for a pleasant way to spend a nice spring Saturday afternoon.

We were here last night for my wife's birthday dinner and it was terrific. It was our first visit but won't be our last, we already made New Year's Eve reservations. Their specialty is warm and cold water lobster tails, but they also have a full dinner menu offering soups, appetizers, seafood and steaks. We both had Australian cold water lobster tails and they were delicious. They are steamed or steamed first and then broiled, we chose to have ours steamed then broiled. I had mine with french fries and my wife had a baked potato. The fries were good old school fries. The house salads were very good. For desert we had Creme Brulee with blueberries and whipped cream and it was excellent. Our server Kate was great, she was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. They have a full bar and a great selection of craft beers. They're open for breakfast and lunch too. It's very clean, even the restrooms. They have off street parking. Overall our visit was terrific, great food and great service at a reasonable price.

My wife is not easily agitated by waitresses as she deeply feels for them and understands that they are typically underpaid and underappreciated. This was an exception. I've never had a waitress roll her eyes at me when she made the mistake. Our waitress was a royal paid, expected us to order immediately and then got huffy when we weren't ready to order within a minute of arriving. This was our first visit and will be our last. We found the food to be flavorful, but very GREASY, gave us both indigestion within 30 minutes of eating here. Found the beer to be good, but a little pricy for the neighborhood.

Stopped in while in the area visiting family for Easter. Excellent service the night before a holiday. Server was very attentive. We shared the fried green beans and nachos. I had a custom burger and was very impressed with the seasoned meat. Bravo! The pepper jack and bacon just absolutely topped it off. The fries were huge and the serving size was very large. Left with plenty of leftovers. Definitely recommend a stop.

I'm glad that we finally tried this place. It looks OK from the outside, but inside it's really very nice. They offer booths, low tables and high tables in the bar area. It was hard to decide what to order from the menu - they have so much to choose from. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich. It was delicious!! And so were the fries that came with it. My husband decided on the Cheesesteak Sub. He ordered the half portion and it was more than enough for him. He loved it. Service was very good and the food came out pretty fast. We will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.

Red Leaf Salad Company

I’ve visited Red Leaf in Wilkes Barre many times. The food is delicious. I always get the made to order so I have exactly what I want. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. Sometimes they are easily distracted with happenings outside of the place and don’t pay attention to you. Try not to go right before closing because they try to rush you. Salads are quickly put together and not chopped very well
