After a long drive from Arkansas, I was hankering for some GOOD ice cream and I found it in spades at ROLL ICE CREAM! It’s a bit hard to find in its location next to an East India store and restaurant, but you can easily find it across the highway from Walmart! I ordered the MATCHA GREEN TEA ice cream with two optional toppings of strawberries and Oreos and it was delicious!

While technically a Sonic Drive-In, there were actually no drive-in spaces, but rather an eat-in dining area. It also had a drive-through and picnic tables. The food was good, as at any Sonic, the service was fast and friendly, and the tables were clean.

I hate to write bad reviews. I usually write all my reviews on TA but here goes. My Husband & I went for lunch. I realize that this place has only been open for about 4 or 5 months, but that is plenty of time to work out the kinks. Not the case here and especially not with the wait staff. This place was not extremely busy on this day (not in comparison to other restaurants at lunch time). Yes, they had a large group in the back in the private room but still, it wasn’t that busy comparatively speaking. There are other restaurants in Clinton who have standing room only at lunch time and the service is still outstanding. I ordered from the lunch menu and ordered the mushroom chicken with green beans and turnip greens. The chicken was a very small, thin piece of boneless chicken breast. It was rubbery and not great, the sauce that was on it, had good flavor but it was extremely salty (and I like a lot of salt). The turnip greens and the green beans were not seasoned at all and just tasted like vegetables poured out of a can and heated up. My Husband ordered the cheeseburger with fries and he said it was just ok, nothing special. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer. They were just frozen onion rings that had been fried and served with comeback sauce, again nothing special. I do not eat comeback sauce and I had to wait 10 minutes for a wait person to come back, so I could ask for ketchup. The tea arrived with only about 4 tiny cubes of ice and the ice was melted within 2 seconds and we were left with glasses of warm tea with no ice. No one ever came by to check on us to see if we needed refills on our tea, my Husband finally had to ask for a refill, and I asked for some ice. I never got a refill on my tea, the entire time. When we had been finished eating for about 15 minutes and sitting there looking around the room, our waiter finally came over and asked if we would like some tea. I asked for a glass of tea to go and my Husband asked for the check. Our bill was $28.70 before tip, a little high but I don’t mind paying for good food and good service. Our waiter was a young man (I don’t know his name, but he wears glasses) he was literally sprinting back and forth across the restaurant back and forth from table to table and from table to kitchen, this is not only very unprofessional but very unsafe! Just watching him was making me dizzy! Here’s a suggestion to the owner or manager, at lunch time during the week, people are generally on a time limit and don’t have 15 minutes to sit there and wait for their ticket. Another suggestion about the service, when there is more than one person sitting at a table or eating together. Their food should come out at the same time. It’s rude for one person to have their meal and to begin eating while others are sitting there looking at them without their food. Every table in the place on this day was served one plate at a time, the wait staff was literally going back and forth from the tables to the kitchen for each plate! That’s crazy! Do you not have serving trays? The same thing happened to my Husband and I, he received his meal and I was sitting there waiting for my food while the wait person walked back to the kitchen to retrieve mine. That’s just ridiculous and unacceptable! The furniture is nice, the chairs are comfortable, but the tables are a pain, because of the way they are made, there’s nowhere to put your feet, the bottom of the table is square, so to have room for your feet, you must sit way out away from the table or sit sideways. The extremely large TV’s are very nice, but they don’t match the decor. The décor is more upscale and not sports bar. I really hate this, because Clinton really needs another GOOD place to eat and I hate for them to not make it, they obviously have invested a lot of money in this place.

"Southern vegetables" were definitely not like Grandma's. Veggie medley was crunchy, stuffed pepper was disappointing -- stuffing tasted like cooked rice mixed with canned tomato sauce that had been warned in the pepper -- pepper wasn't cooked no sign of ground meat in it. The pork chops (fried and grilled) were both dry. Grilled chop was pretty spicy. Boys enjoyed the Mac and cheese and fried chicken. Staff was friendly and helpful but probably won't stop by again. Lots of food (3 sides) but disappointing. We paid $30 for 2 adult plates and 2 kid meals.

Oyster poboys are just what you need! Their handmade dressings and sauces were well made. Food arrived quickly, hot and fresh. My wife had grilled shrimp. Both in presentation and flavor of the shrimp was hands-down the best in Clinton. The waitstaff was very friendly. Will definitely be visiting a lot more frequently in the future.

This place was recommended by a store owner in the area. The atmosphere is enjoyable, the restaurant is nicely appointed, there is a small bar area, and the menu is varied only by the six specials that were offered this evening. It appeared that the women who 'waited' on our table was perhaps the manager? She was training a young lady dressed in the all black staff uniform but she was dressed in street clothes. I point this out because the service was sub-par and made our experience memorable in a negative way. We ordered the brisket burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was excellant relative to taste and was properly cooked. Regular fries arrived though - so we sent them back. Five minutes later, the sweet potato fries arrived undercooked. So again we caught the attention of the wait staff and waited several minutes for the 'manager' to take care of the fry problem again. This time it took 7 more minutes and the fries arrived overcooked and almost charred - by this time the burger was fully eaten, so we got the fries to go. Perhaps if she wrote the order down, the order would have arrived correctly the first time. I ordered the spinach salad which comes with honey mustard dressing which I was looking forward to......but the dressing is more like horseradish honey and absolutely ruined the salad! I ordered the dressing on the side, and am glad I did because I can only imagine what it would have tasted like if the dressing was tossed on all of the spinach. I thought my nasal passages were on fire and about to explode. Yes, I asked for a different salad dressing at the same time that the sweet potato fries were sent back the 2nd time. I NEVER received the alternate gorganzola dressing. Needless to say, I ate less than half of the spinach salad and did not enjoy it at all. We enjoyed visiting the downtown area of Clinton, and may visit this restaurant again, however will ask that the 'order taker' actually write the order down and I certainly will not order the burning hot honey mustard dressing for any salad.

Staying near here and stopped in for dinner. What a treat...this is 4.5 ⭐️. Super friendly, attentive server along with a great menu which combined Cajun and southern for us. Hubs had the catfish PO boy with a side of cheese grits and he raved and he doesn’t rave. Fresh tasty cornmeal crusted catfish with tartar sauce and soft French roll. I had the Bully Wrap which I’d read about but didn’t see on the menu (diced chicken, lettuce, tomato red onion and jack cheese) with a sauce that was kind of sweet and sour with a hint of kick. My side was the creamiest cole slaw ever. We shared a serving of bread pudding with a vanilla sauce which was small but perfect having joined the clean plate club with the main course. Bread pudding was so delish....Place was busy but so worth the wait. Little bit on the dates side but the food shines and that’s what’s important. Thanks for the review! We hope to see you again!
