Soulless. Apart from breakfast almost no staff present. Adequate as an overnight travel stop but not as a base for visiting Morlaix. Carpet in our room was stained, shower enclosure had black mould on lower grouting. Towels thin. Breakfast good.

Convenient for Morlaix

Reviewed By DerekParsons

We made a reservation in March for a visit in September. From the website you are taken to booking.com to make the reservation. When we were making the booking it very clearly stated that we would pay on departure on we left credit card details to guarantee our arrival. About a month before we due to arrive we received an email from booking.com saying that as we had not paid in full the owner had cancelled our reservation. I contacted booking.com and explained the situation and they agreed that we did not have to pay in advance, however, they could not reverse the cancellation and there only suggestion was to make the booking again. This time I selected the option to pay in full. When we checked out the owner said we hadn't paid and that we must pay. I showed him my communication with booking.com and they ended up calling them - they confirmed I had paid. The other issue with booking.com are the GPS coordinates which are wrong. If you use them they will take you about 25 miles (40 kilometres) away!! The correct coordinates are: N48.57969. W3.83337 For the Manoir itself we came here after 3 nights in another Manoir which I rated very good on Tripadvisor. This one only deserves an average by comparison. When we arrived the owner gave us the impression that they didn't really want us staying in their house but they needed our money. The room was clean and comfortable but there was no wardrobe only a rail that you get in clothes shops. The toiletries were very basic and we were expected to make our own bed everyday. Breakfast was the same everyday, bread, jam, croissant and crepes. There was no cereals ham or cheese. Wifi is only available in the lounge downstairs and is very slow. All the rooms are up a spiral staircase so if you have trouble walking you will struggle.
