The most northerly of the Western Fjord counties, More og Romsdal is a land of rich and rugged terrain, including steep mountains, rolling valleys, many islands, some of the country’s longest waterfalls and, of course, the deep fjords that make the area so famous. Geirangerfjord, one of Norway’s most visited fjords, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and home to the spectacular Brudesløret (Bride’s Veil) and De Syv Søstrene (The Seven Sisters) waterfalls. Picturesque Alesund is the county capital.

The hotel accommodations will be of high standard and also feature lovely views and a cozy environment.
We had a tent and a car and the service was good and it went smoothly. There is a kitchen and we had a table close to our tent so eating was easy. The view was nice even though it was not on the top of mountains.

Our family of six rented a large cabin with three bedrooms, through booking.com, here on our road trip through Norway this summer. The man in the reception is probably one of the friendliest we have ever met! Our kids loved the pedal “cars” and the trampoline. There are Tesla superchargers here, which is one of the reasons chose to stay here. The cabin was basic, simple standard and a few years old - but we were comfortable here. The service building is new and has really good showers, bathrooms and such, even though we had our own in our cabin. We didn’t try the restaurant this time as we cooked our own food in the cabin. We didn’t have much time in the area but we did take the short walk/hike up the hill/mountain across the street and it had an amazing view! Would very much recommend this place!

Located in a quiet area on Averøy Island, this old bacalao factory is rebuilt to a rustic guesthouse. The brightly decorated rooms come with views of the Atlantic Ocean from the French balcony. Kristiansund town center is 10 km away. All the spacious rooms at Sveggvika Guesthouse have a seating area, fully equipped kitchens with cooking top/hob, micro-oven, stove, dish washer, fridge and cooler. The kitchens have the equipment to prepare dinner meals and other self-catering as wanted. All you need is to bring the groceries and maybe fish your own dinner directly from the guesthouse. All rooms have a tiled bathroom with a shower. The guesthouse has Wi-Fi. The nearby ocean offers excellent nature experiences, fishing opportunities and other sea activities. The on-site Kroa Bar serve snacks and beverages when staff is on site. The restaurant is not open in 2022, but we have alternative restaurant options nearby. The staff can help you to bring you in contact with activities like: - Easy to hard hiking trips - Museum / Church visits - Ocean fishing - The Atlantic Road - On site story about the first clip fish entrepreneur in Norway (that owned Sveggvika) The scenic Atlantic Road connects the island with the mainland. The Bremsnes Cave is 7 km and the nearest grocery store is 5 km away. Kristiansund Airport is 15 km from the guesthouse. Your property description is created based on the facilities and amenities you add. It also includes info about nearby landmarks and attractions to make it stand out on search engines like Google. It’s then translated into multiple languages, which can increase bookings by appealing to all potential guests.
Came across this idyllic guesthouse by the sea and spent one night here. We were totally blown away by the magnificent view from our room. We sat and watched the wind and rain whip the ocean up all evening (an eagle flew right by our window at one point) and fell asleep to the old building creaking in the wind. Newly renovated with modern facilities, but the owner has kept the rustic original details from when the building was a fish factory giving the place its charm. Our stay was short and the room so lovely that we barely left it, but the area has lots of exciting outdoor activities that the owner gladly will help you navigate. Only a 15 minute drive from the city of Kristiansund. We would definitely come back here, for a longer stay next time!

We rented a small cabin for one night. It was clean and the staff was helpful. Bathrooms were clean as well. It was a cheap stay with a nice view. Location is alright, a 25 minute walk to the city centre or a short bus trip away. The area was quiet even though it was a lot of guests the night we stayed.

We stayed in one of the small cabins for two nights (cabin 1). The cabin had an amazing view overlooking the fjord and was situated right next to a waterfall so we could hear the waterfall whenever we had the windows or doors opened. It was a one bedroom cabin with a living room/kitchen, a bathroom, and a terrace where we could sit outside to enjoy the view of the fjord. Overall, the cabin was old but I think it was sufficient for our stay. If you have an electric car, there is also charging facilities near the reception area.

Situated a couple of km from the Geiranger village centre and accessed down a narrow dirt road this accommodation has great views back towards the village. Our cottage had two bunks, a table and chairs, a fridge and some eating utensils. On the small deck was a hotplate. We hired linen and towels which cost Nok80 per person. Communal showers are coin operated - Nok10 for 5 minutes, There is a washer and drier - Nok20 to use the washer. Parking at door.
