if you like wailin cowboy laments and cold fries, you might like the bag. the shaved steak sandwich with the fries was ok but there has to be better. i say go elsewhere young man.

this place is amazing. Very friendly staff which makes you feel right at home from the moment you enter the restaurant. The food and service are exceptional. Try the bacon wrapped filet and the mushroom tart. A vast wine list for a restaurant of this size. Ambiance is great and perfect for couples; no kids the night we were there. Highly recommend.

My spouse and I wanted to treat our long-time friends to lunch while on a visit with them to Helena. They suggested this restaurant since we were in the neighborhood.Offering a funky - artsy ambience, this upscale bistro has a somewhat limited luncheon menu. All four of us finally chose the Blue Note Special of the day: A Cubano sandwich that came with fries and a Schezwan coleslaw. It was a weird fusion of Floridian and Chinese food that did not work for my spouse and me. The two flavors were constantly fighting with one another. I finally gave up on the slaw and pushed it aside. As for the sandwich, it was of average quality. I have had much better ones.While I appreciate the commitment of the owners and the chef to the environment through their recycling, composting, and the farm to table sourcing of ingredients, I believe they are are striving a little too hard to be "upscale" with at least this one item on their menu.

Arrived on Sunday 9/15 a little after 7pm. No one waiting to be seated. About half the tables occupied. I asked for a table instead of a booth. We were seated at a table and the other nearby tables were unoccupied. We sat there for 15 minutes and received no service. No one came by with water. No onecaame for a drink order, NO oneever came. We left at that point and went to Applebee's. About the same number of occupied as MacKenzie. We got Instant service as soon as we were seated.I rated them one circle because zero circles is not an available option.Clifford, I am sorry to hear about your experience (or lack of) on your Sunday visit. We pride ourselves on our level of service and attention, neither of which did you receive. We were there for dinner and it wasnât busy. We were quickly approached and our drink orders taken and filled right away. Things went downhill from there. 2 other tables were seated and orders taken by another waitress before our food order was taken. Our waitress said sheâd return with more tea but that was a long time coming. She did finally refill our tea glasses. The salad bar is right by the front door but itâs not a self-serve salad bar. I just felt that was a little unsanitary for food but Im sure their space is limited. The food came out somewhat hot. It was hotter than warm and it tasted fine. We ordered 2 desserts but only 1 came out. We werenât charged for the other so I think there was some miscommunication. By the time we left it had gotten rather busy in there so it must be a fairly popular place but itâs just not popular in this family.

Cafe Zydeco is a great Cajun food place, in Helena, Mt. Go figure! My husband had their most popular seafood gumbo with 1/2 of a shrimp and crawfish Po boy. He said he would give them 4 out of 5 stars and he liked both of them. I had a French dip roast beef sandwich, I would also give it 4 of 5 stars. It was good, but the beef was flat, like sandwich meat. The au jus, was not very beef flavored, I didn't like it that much. We also got a couple Beignets that were amazing, they were definitely a 5! Very light and puffy!

My husband and I chose this place due to their variety of meal-sized salads. We were NOT disappointed. We both had excellent salads with outstanding and flavorful dressings. The salads were generous and the lettuce and veggies were fresh and crisp. We both had grilled chicken on our salads and it was very juicy and tasty. The beer cheese soup was to die for! Really cheesy and served nice and hot. The waitress was very knowledgable about their beers and ciders and made suggestions, complete with taste testers. Very good food -- does have a bit of a college sports bar vibe, but that was not off-putting. It could be though on a busy night. We were there on a Monday and just enjoying Monday Night Football with a few other patrons.

You won't just happen by On Broadway, but if you want a really great meal it's worth looking up the address and dropping in. Italian and seafood are the specialties with a lively atmosphere and great service to balance out your visit. I'm not sure which was better, our service or our food. Top notch experience all the way around. For a more unique experience request a table on the upper level overlooking the main floor. This is definitely on my list for my next return trip to Helena. Suggest you come early as it gets busy.

I ordered a Taco Omlette and it was the size of a football!!! And it was delicious!!! Trust me you will NOT leave here hungry. Harrison got the Huckleberry waffles and he says they were spectacular too!!! The menu is HUGE and has something for everyone! (Not everything is breakfast food) The waitresses are so helpful and seem to really enjoy their jobs. I highly recommend it.
