My husband and I had a delicious meal at this restaurant tonight. We both ordered the Carbo flip margarita which was really good. The chips and salsa were also very good. I ordered the fish tacos which came with three tacos with grilled mani topped with a fresh pineapple salsa and avocado. They were delicious and served with black beans and an herbed rice. I really enjoyed my dinner and would order this again. My husband ordered the chicken burrito which also came with a Mexican style rice and refried beans. He also enjoyed his dinner very much. The restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night. You could also dine outside which was nice. Our waiter was very nice and our dinners arrived very quickly. We will definitely return here when we are in the Destin area.Thank you for the kind words and review! We hope to see you again on your next visit!

Good food, honest hard-working pleasant staff! We ate dinner here, and had an excellent meal. There were four in our party and everyone ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their food. The chicken enchiladas were great, I did get them without the red sauce and had them add queso sauce and they were delicious . Others had Street tacos, vegetarian burrito, and fajitas. Marlin our server was pleasant and attentive and took care of us well! We paid for the meal and left. The next morning my husband realized he had lost his money. We frantically searched everywhere to no avail. Waiting until the restaurant opened at 11, we called there on the chance that someone had found it. Much to our surprise, their employee Wilmath had found our money and turned it in for safekeeping. It was quite a large amount of money and we were thrilled that there are still good honest people in the world. Thank you so much to the staff and management at Mezcal.

Cinco de Mayo Cocina Mexicana

A few nights ago my husband and I decided to have dinner at Cinco de Mayo, Miramar Beach. From the moment we stepped through the front door we were unimpressed. Somebody had a dog locked in a room by where we were seated, it never stopped barking for the entire time we were there. The décor of the restaurant is old, dated and dark. The carpet is filthy. The lady who served us had a very thick accent making it very hard to understand her. We ordered our food which we received in 6 minutes, obviously everything had been reheated and not cooked fresh. The food was mediocre, bland and lukewarm. I did visit the toilets which were actually better decorated than the restaurant, clean, well decorated and nicely painted. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant, it needs a complete interior revamp and the food needs to be freshly cooked and of better quality
