Unfortunately we stopped on the way to DTE when they were clearly understaffed. They were advertising for help in all positions . There was a very long wait for our food. It was delivered with an apology . It would be helpful if the signage on the menu board would be in a larger font, on a non glare surface with more descriptions. I am not a regular so was difficult for me to understand what the choices are

This place has ok help. But the manager doesn't seem concerned about repeat business. The charges were exuberant and looking at receipt seemed that charges were made up. I got the same amount in bowl and asked for extra meat on burrito bowl however was charged another $8???? Manager never even came out to address or explain charges when asked. The girl at register seemed surprised by charges. I can see why this place has such low ratings.

I live about a mile from the Jalapeños in Clarkston and eat there often. The food is excellent! They bring you 3 types of salsa when you sit down, and the guacamole salsa is not only delicious but unique! The chips are homemade and we always go through more than one basket. I always get the chicken wet burritos (but be sure to tell them to hold the jalapenos if you do not want them). The food is great, the staff friendly, and the prices reasonable. It is always busy and is one of the best local restaurants. I have not visited the Pontiac location but have heard that the food is even better there.

My husband and I stopped for lunch yesterday. The Reuben with sweet potato fries were great. My husband had the flatbread with chicken and pesto. Also delicious. Such nice large servings, we brought half home and had it for dinner! Everyone was so friendly and and our server Marissa did a great job. We truly enjoyed our visit and are happy to have a new restaurant in the area.

Had friends in from Grand Rapids and they wanted Mexican, so we gave this place another shot. Same result as my first time here. Wednesday evening, mostly empty restaurant. Waitress delivers food and doesn't come back. Had to ask for waitress for a water refill (meal almost over), she seemed bored and disinterested. Food was "meh". Not horrible, not good. In fairness, chips good and salsa very good. Much better options elsewhere for Mexican food. Won't be back.

To put some yeast on the end of your meal, the warm and fresh mini-cinnamon donuts might will calm your eyes and spring you forward to chocolate or caramel dipping sauce options. The only caution to this establishment is the wait for seating on the weekends.
