GreatService - waitress came back to check on us many times. Blackenened salmon cooked to perfection I was suspicious of the raspberry sauce but it was incredible with the Cajun rubFrench fries (seasoned)Chicken avocado sandwichFree parking just outside. Restaurant is in a good quiet safe location. GoodMany large screen TVsNice atmosphere for couples friends sports fans or familiesRestaurant was clean. Okay Beer and glass of winePretzels were medium and hard on outsideNot soft and jumbo as advertised I was hoping for Annie’s style - notBadBaked potato was either undercooked or microwaved. I sent it back and 7 min later they brought me a second one just like it. Baked should be fluffy and it was not. The Brown Ale Cheddar soup had too much cheese and not enough soup. Ate half. Coleslaw used to replace the potato was bland as were the julienne cut veggies. Fake candle on table.

CJ's Brewing Company

We met my sister and her husband here as they live on a local lake. Some lake food is pretty crummy, but we were pleased with this place. The service was fast. There was some special that you get a pizza with another entree so both my sister and her husband did that and took home two pizzas. I can't eat pizza with all that cheese, but I did have the chicken parmesan roll and it was good. With being allergic to lactose, I often feel like I'm not getting the best food a restaurant has to offer, but this was good (albeit, a little iffy when it comes to the cheese and dressing). But,I liked it. We had a few local brews and went on to play cards for the afternoon. Good meet up place. Easy to get to and park and fast, casual food in the playground area of northwest Detroit area.

Buddy's Pizza

Reviewed By jmanning-pa

Until a year ago I hailed from the lovely Garden State. The whole NY/NJ area is full of establishments boasting of the “best pizza”. There is all kinds: brick oven, coal oven, wood fired, and the corner pizza restaurant. So I am jaded and abit of a snob when it comes to pizza pie as we North Newarker’s called it growing up.Fast forward and I marry a Detroiter and there are trips to his home state visiting in-laws and friends to celebrate (graduations and weddings) and mourn (hospitalizations and deaths). Early on I quickly learned that Jersey wasn’t the only pizza that locals areproud of, there are many of them out there. The first time I ate Detroit Style Pizza, I fell in love. I had Buddy’s square pizza. The dough gets a double rise which when baked makes it an airy but well structured. The cheese is Wisconsin brick cheese. I don’t know what that is but it is stretchy and somewhat tart. It is a perfect accompaniment to the sweeter tomato sauce. The cheese is put on the dough first followed by the sauce. The pie is in a rectangular sheet pan w/ sides and then baked to perfection (IMHO). You can order a half which is four pieces or a whole which is eight slices. All pizzas can be accessorized and there are some such as the Ultimate Italian, the New Yorker and so forth. There are other non pizza options and I recommend the Chopped Antipasto Salad that my husband says is yummo. If you are in the Detroit area and can get to a Buddy’s I guarantee you will have an unforgettable pizza. Heydon’t tell my Jersey buds!We are honored to receive your vote of confidence, as we are thrilled to know you are now a Buddy's Pizza fan. Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience and for sharing your favorites. We aim to serve only the best and we look forward to serving you at your next visit. Thank you!

Nice casual atmosphere with good food and attentive staff. Mussels appetizer is a family favorite. Salads are always fresh and tasty. Burgers are big and juicy. Nice selection of wines to go with any meal. In a world where it’s difficult to find a reasonably price local restaurant, diamond Jim Brady stands out.

Nine of us went to Casey's for dinner on Father's Day and everyone loved their food. The reubens, fish & chips, steak bites, pulled pork - all were great. Only thing we weren't wild about was the cherry coke. We loved the live entertainment - two guys who sang lots of old familiar tunes and took requests. Fun.

We had 6 for a birthday and even though it wasn't very busy on a Sunday for lunch, we had to wait almost 15 minutes for a table, they seemed to not have enough wait staff that particular day and there was a party of about 14 a head of us. BBQ full slab was very good, brisket and pulled pork was good but a little underwhelming. Sides were all excellent including asparagus, mac and cheese and corn bread. Kids had pancakes, french toast, sausage and ham and they thought it was excellent.

Went here for a business lunch; the restaurant is very large, so it shouldn't be a problem to find a space to sit. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad; it was a large portion, and tasty. Our server was efficient, and was there for what we needed. Overall, a good lunch option for the area.
