A great selection for people out of town. It has a very welcoming vibe and a small town feel. It is a great restaurant to start drinking at before a night out in royal oak or to end a night of drinking either way it should be a stop for any royal oak visit.

Seriously? Two filled bench-style tables, over 20 people and one waitress? My friend got poor advice from her - way more food than he wanted-, slow drinks, luke warm, slow from kitchen (dinner took over 1-1/2 hrs, I got parking ticket to show for it). This is somewhat of a 'trendy' place in Royal Oak. It was crowed when we arrived for a relatively early dinner but no problem getting a table. Service was pretty prompt as well considering the crowd. Pleasant and friendly waitress. GREAT menu with some unusual unique items: I had the duck burger which was fantastic!Atmosphere was unique and interesting: building was a working garage, ie for fixing cars. The only reason I can't rate the place a '5' is the noise level was deafening. Playing music at high volume, it was really impossible to converse with my family. If you don't care for conversation, this is a perfect place!

We met another couple here for breakfast. We have never been here before but were greatly impressed! The place was crowded but we got a table. The wait staff was attentive. The ambience was elegant. The food was a pleasant fusion of many cultures. A lot of seafood. Everyone liked the eggs, French toast, and pancakes. The only drawback was the noise level. High ceilings and all. Highly recommended!

How long can you exactly coast on your past success? I have been to the bistro multiple times and every single time the quality of food and service has been lowered and lowered while menu prices have increased. Menu has not really changed except the ingredients have been replaced with lower priced item, Hanger steak with strip steak etc. Service is not bad but also not what it was. I like the look of the place and the location but find ourselves not going to this bistro as often. I think we are really tired of their same old menu and the inconsistent execution. If you have one steak or one bread on the menu you should be able to do it well and consistent. Bread, appetizers and main course were all very disappointing but for now wine is still good. Please introduce some new items that you can execute well and work on the servers knowledge.

My wife and i stopped in before a concert. We had the town tavern burger, shirt rib tacos and chile grilled brussel sprouts. The burger was terrific, tacos were good and the brussel sprouts were outstanding. Nice beer selection. We had 3 beers and a coffee all which totalled just over $50. The service was a true highlight. The host, the waitress, the bussers and the management were very friendly, efficient, and helpfully. I would come back just for the service alone

Although burgers are their speciality, they also do a good job with appetizers, drinks and salads. The toppings for burgers are limitless. The fries leave much to be desired, but become passable when eating late and /or while drinking. Servers are fast, efficient and friendly.
