A great place to rest and eat
Reviewed By Aprénom BExcellent location , in the center of the small Meyrueis city. Warm welcome, nice environment. Clean and calm room overlooking one of the 3 small rivers irrigating Meyrueis. Good WiFi connection. We had our diner at the hotel restaurant and we had a great time, starting with a delicious apéritive , kind of Kir based on chestnut liquor. The starters and main courses were excellent : Roquefort salad, omelet with morilles ( wild mushrooms) , lamb gigot . A must is to taste the aligot, a blend of purée and fresh Auvergne cheese, cream and garlic . Nice desserts and good pitcher of local wine. Breakfast is classic. Overall , an excellent value for money, and a place we would certainly recommend.

Reviewed By jhensh534669The host/owner was very welcoming and attentive. The host supervised the excellent restaurant which served traditional Cevenne style food, locally sourced. The host attended to guest's smallest requests and also operated the reception at times. Accommodation was very comfortable. A beautiful rear garden area with a patio and swimming pool ( which was operating when I was there in early May 2022). This is a hotel to be highly recommended.

Reviewed By Aline13720We had a lovely stay at this hotel, very peaceful and restful environment, service is great, people are very caring and helpful. Owners are very nice. Food is delicious and local. Highly recommended for a family gateway. Many things to do around the hotel as well.

Nice hotel and excellent restaurant in the Cevennes
Reviewed By GF_TravellerWe spent two days un the hotel saint sauveur and can highly recommend it. Recently renovated in a very modern style we had a nice and spacious room. A special recommendation for the restaurant which serves a really excellent French cuisine, far more advanced than you would expect in such a remote location. For hotel guest a half-board formula is proposed which is very attractive. We were very happy and can only recommend it

All houses are on one level, with no vis-a-vis and view on the mountain. They all have a kitchen, living-room/dining-room, bathroom/wc and a terrace, as well as a flat screen TV and free WIFI. Heated outdoor swimming-pool opened from June to end of September. Playground for kids, petanque strip, multisports ground (football, basketball), tennis table, pool table, football table. Barbecue. Laundromat. Free car park. Village of Meyrueis at 800m. What to see and what to do less than 30km around: the famous Gorges du Tarn and the Gorges de la Jonte; the caves (Dargilan, Aven-Armand, abime de Bramabiau); the Mount-Aigoual and the meteosite; the vulture lookout; the Chaos of Montpellier-le-Vieux and of Nimes-le-Vieux; visiting local farms; visiting typical villages ; hiking; mountain bike; canoe; climbing and via-ferrata; speleology; horse-riding...
Good, though nothing fancy
Reviewed By Wilbert JWe stayed here a couple of nights on our way further South. This is a nice, small park with basically all you need. The reception was friendly and good English was no problem. The accommodation itself is a bit dark (due to the overhang on the terras), but has all you need. The kitchen could do with a bit more pans and especially some large muggs (drinking tea from espresso cups is weird). Our convertible couch made a very squeaky bed, but that could have just been our bad luck. The pool area is sufficiently equipped for the amount of visitors, and the children's playground is also nice. There is a large outdoor barbeque area (shared), which is also a nice touch. There's also a separate area where kids can play soccer, although that area needs to be cleaned up a bit more (first of all ofcourse by those actually using it!). All in all, we had a good stay and I can recommend this place for both a short stay or maybe a week our so.

Reviewed By Liz MParking is 200 metres away, so you follow the owner on his pedal scooter. Pool is 100 yards away and shared with another hotel. Room was immaculate. Very good value for money. There is a lift, which was very welcome.

Reviewed By Boatman100754Does exactly what it says on the box. Comfortable room, great breakfast and dinner, in the centre of this small and interesting town. Heartily recommended. The rooms were clean and well thought out, showers great after a long days hiking, and a sunny terrace at the front good for a refreshing beer, or two.

Reviewed By cecilef854Magnifique structure qu'on ne s'attend pas à découvrir sur le causse Méjean, un manège couvert de toute beauté et que dire des pur sang arabes ! L'accueil de Béatrice est chaleureux sans en faire trop. Les chambres sont spacieuses, confortables et la literie au top. Un grand espace cuisine à disposition permet de petit déjeuner (produits bio mis à disposition par Béatrice) mais également de déjeuner ou dîner tranquillement à l'intérieur ou dehors. C'était notre 2e séjour de l'année et il est certains que nous reviendrons, ne serait ce que pour aller faire un tour au Mont Aigoual tout proche.

Poor service, great location
Reviewed By Lyndsey WWe planned a nice day out to a pretty market town, with lunch; unfortunately the weather forecast was totally inaccurate so wearing sun clothes we were dodging heavy showers. We considered all the restaurant menus and decided on Hotel Sully Plat du Jour. However, due to heavy rain we decided to head home ..... until the clouds parted and the sun came out. Back to town, and sat down at the restaurant terrace .... ordered drinks, and Plat du Jour .... ‘non’ ??? Market day, almost first customers and ‘non’?? Eventually decided to stay and try the more expensive Menu - mistake - should have gone home. Waitress was rude and surly, food and drinks were slammed down, waited 20’ for a pression which only arrived after reordering ... then brought 2. Starters were good. But then waited an HOUR for the main course; I asked for frites and not rice with my fish ... again ‘non’ ..... fish arrived with no sauce .... gentleman at next table gave us his! Waited another 20’ for the suite and a further 10’ for the bill, despite asking for it at same time as dessert. By now our quick market menu of the day has taken 2.5 hours .... and guess what, its pouring down again, and we’ve missed the planned dry slot. Some other customers were almost equally poorly served, whilst other tables had turned over two sittings in the same time, with same menu. Random, appalling service, poor choice.
