Reviewed By mihaib23A nice backpacker's hostel, clean rooms,sheets,friendly staff, very nice lounge room, good food and the best wifi that I've experienced in Manila. The location is great, can reach lots of restaurants ,bars, malls by foot. My lock broke with my stuff inside the locker box and they were kind enough to open it, damaging the box, without a charge or anything. Will definitely go there again.

Budget hotel ideal for short layovers
Reviewed By I3106JImichaellStayed at this budget hotel for 3 nights whilst I had the need to take a PCR covid test in preparation for an International departure out of Manila. Hotel is very accessible from any of the airport terminals using a ride share or taxi. In fact from Terminal 3, just outside the main fence of the car park on the side of Newport you are able to ride a jeepney with signboard Baclaran/Taft LRT getting down at the Shell gasoline station corner Aurora Bvld and Andrews ave. The hotel is behind the Shell. Hotel is very basic but for a layover is sufficient. Rooms contain a TV with sky cable, comfortable bed and basic Comfort room with hot water. As many have mentioned the WiFi connection was hopeless, would connect but no internet service. Best use a local sim for data connectivity. There is a Chinese themed restaurant on the ground level in which you can order main meals. I ordered one meal which was of a decent price and food quantity. Other than that due the lock down restrictions I would order food online without a problem. I did like the idea that on the second level there was a water station in which you could fill water bottles with both chilled and hot water. Besides that each day you are entitled to a small bottle of mineral water. Closest supermarket was the Metro at Newport. Accessible by the return Jeepney I stated from Terminal 3. A deposit of 1000 pesos is required on check in as a security deposit. For the most part had no problems with the staff, always friendly to assist.

Reviewed By pkh1961We stayed at Starlight for a total of 9 nights over the past couple of months. Every time we returned it felt like we were coming home! Starlight is a small family run hotel situated around 30 minutes from Manila Airport with easy access to the Mall of Asia, Intramuros by light railway and bus stations to the north and south of Luzon. The rooms are modest in size but exceptionally clean well, equipped and well maintained. There is a lovely restaurant which has a range of tasty, well priced meals and snacks. However, Starlights biggest assets are its fabulous staff and management: polite, courteous, happy, helpful and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you to everyone at Starlight and we look forward to the next time we see you!

Reviewed By AlvOgeExcellent hotel for it's price, has all of the amenities you normally don't expect to find from 2 to 3 star hotels. The room has a minibar to keep your drinks and your food cold (with two complimentary bottled water), it has an induction water kettle for your coffee (and of course two packets of complimentary instant coffee), the room even has its own wifi router so you'll never have to worry about your room having poor wifi reception. The free breakfast is ordered from Jollibee (which I would have bought anyway), and the hotel staff even accommodated my additional order from Jollibee. It's almost like they perfected all of the basics you would expect from a hotel (though purists might object due to the property having to order food from outside, but I love Jollibee, so I don't really care).

The tap on the sink didn't work, TV reception was very poor and the room needed a damn good clean. Breakfast was very limited. You can get a far better hotel for the same price. This just isn't worth it!
