Excellent hotel. The staff were excellent particularly Marice, who went over and beyond to ensure the best experiences, the foot massages were unreal, and the jacuzzi and sauna was always available. Thanks Marice.

Facilty was good but Lorena was OUTSTANDING

Reviewed By Yenfung

I wasn't too sure when I booked my reservation, this was the first time I have ever stayed in a hostel. The place was clean, tidy and had all the facilities you would want. Lorena was amazing, being a stranger to this area, she gave me ideas on Where to go ? What to eat ? What to do ? Any problems that I had, nothing was too small or too trivial for her, I thought she was simply fantastic.

Best Hotel in Melide

WOW, what a find, our last night cycling the Camino Frances and we did not fancy an albergue with PVC mattress in a dormitory! The Lux has superb modern rooms, new bathrooms, lovely linen and towels, all mod cons even your own coffee machine. Cycle storage is available in separate secure garage. All staff great especially Antonio who checked us in, tired legs, hot day, and ensured we had everything and all local info etc. Buffet breakfast was the best all trip including great coffee to get you going : -) Lastly all this for amazing price.

Best menu ever!

Reviewed By juandD6594PI

I came here for lunch during my stop at Melide in my Camino de Santiago and the lunch experience couldn’t be better. Amazing daily menu - really outstanding. Very good quality and taste and incredible quantity. As a first course I had fabada and it was delicious. I could serve myself as much as I wanted. Main course was beef steak with salad and fries and it was really good! The server was very friendly and extremely servicial and helpful. As a drink I could choose among wine, beer, water or a refreshment and the dessert was homemade custard - very good too. All this for 10 eur! Unbelievable - only in Spain you get this quality food at this price. Totally recommended!

Casa Teillor

Good if you are on a self catering holiday

Reviewed By EckSoong

We were booked here as part of a package on the Camino walk. This included half board (breakfast & dinner). Alicia, was very helpful, though communication was difficult as she spoke little English. She tried her best to help us in things like laundry and breakfast. The room furnishing is rather old. One of our party had a bathroom where the shower squirted in all directions, wetting everything. Dinner turned out to be “takeaway” food. Not very tasty. This accommodation is more suited for self catering rather than as half-board stay.

No hidden gem Here

We were quite dissatisfied with the tiny room and it’s poor ventilation, the food was not nearly the quality of other casas along the Camino and the service wasnt overly friendly. A saving grace is the brief walk around the well manicured gardens.

We have stayed here three times and it has not disappointed us once. The rooms are big and clean and modern. The staff are friendly and helpful. Laundry service is available and is a real gift after walking in the rain. There is not a cafeteria in this facility but it’s a short walk to the center of Melida and plenty of places to choose from. Highly recommend this because of its private rooms and uniqueness.

On my to Santiago

Reviewed By Stefarniente

A few days before I arrived to Santiago I had the chance to sleep at the Albergue Melide. We were only two in the dormitory and were received like guests (not customers). The Albergue is comfy, clean, the terrace really neat. The owners will your hosts and make you fell at home. They know El Camino Francés really well and will be of very precious help if you would like advice or have questions. A very nice stop for only 10 euros. I recommend without any reservation!
