New Bedford on a Saturday night now has a thriving downtown port side. Lots of bars,grills,food emporiums.A great stop from I195 between Providence RI and Cape Cod. Pleasant well lit bar and waited upon tables. Good seafood. Freshly prepared.Great stuffed quahog, little necks on pasta Portugal style and a small? Monsta Lobster-roll. Didnât try any of the the many beers because of long drive ahead. Plan to be back as a rest stop to Airports. Etc in Rhode Island & Ct.

Location: Facing the waterfront, this place also has an outdoor patio on the side.Décor: Typical bar look with lots of wood and televisions. Not a lot of signage in the front to draw you in. It does not appear to be accessible either as guests need to climb some steps up from street level.Service: We found our server to be professional and helpful enough.Food: They have a good selection for wings and burgers. Some seafood items might also be a good choice such as the fish sandwich or fish tacos.Overall: If you are looking for solid pub fare, this seems to be a contender.

Good portions, good food and good service. Ordered Alentejana. Pork, fried potato, red pepper and little necks. Flavorful and filling. Pork was super tender. Wife ordered baked scrod or haddock with veggies. She ate every bit said was perfect. Definitely worth visiting. Burgers and fish and chips looked killer.

Nothing fancy but good food and lots of it! Service was good. Not particularly roomy around the tables but adequate. Large menu with something for everyone, including Portuguese dishes. Comfort food mainly. I had some truffle fries for an appetizer which were very good. My Portuguese haddock was very nice, slightly spicy and good sized helping with a side of pickled beets. My wife salmon was a bit cold however it was tasty. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Seven of us had appetizers to share and one drink each and a main course for $38 including tax and tip. I would not hesitate to return as the vibe was good - friendly local restaurant. Family friendly. We arrived on a Saturday night around 5 and it was packed! Just a word of warning, and that was in October!

We popped in on a Saturday and luckily found seating at the bar around 6 pm. Met some wonderful locals touting the highlights of this wonderful city and restaurant. Highly recommend the hummus platter = bacon scallops (FRESHEST EVER) for a light dinner paired with Pulpit (IPA), Caprice (raspberry blonde ale) and Quick Eternity (west coast style IPA). Definitely plan on revisiting this quaint historic seaport town and Moby's in the near future.Thanks so much for stopping in and we're so glad you had a great time! Thanks for leaving a nice review! We recently tried this restaurant on a Saturday night. Got there at around 6 or 7 pm and were told there was a 60 minute wait. We lucked out and scored seats at the bar! Ordered drinks first while we looked over the menu. I had my usual Cosmo. Very good and served with the rocks on the side. I was happy. We ordered our meals....I had the Crispy Haddock Tacos and he had the Venison and Bison Meatloaf. We both loved our meals! We were pleased that we did not wait an hour.....and were very happy with the drinks and food, so this place will definitely be on our restaurant rotation!!

We ate here with some friends and so got to sample a few menu items. The Portuguese burger (special) was awesome: burger with linguica and fried egg...very tasty to dip the burger into the yolk, and the burger itself was well-seasoned. Regular and sweet potato fries were very good, as was the eggplant appetizer, cole slaw, and the short ribs. Chicken parm sandwich also a winner. Will definitely eat here again, and try more regular menu items as well as the daily specials.

Best calamari I have had in my life! On the other hand, the oysters, which came from VA, were small and tasteless. Definitely do not order them until the local oysters are back in. Scallops were good and tuna was fair.
