Alia Ristorante

Silly me... lived in the area for so long and never tried this outstanding restaurant! Great food, traditional and dishes a bit off the path. Everything was perfectly prepared and possessed that little extra soul that makes all the difference. Loved everything about this place, including the atmosphere and especially the passionate owner who loves his craft! I'm gonna be a regular here....

We love the creative spin on the Greek mezze small plates at Committee. We had octopus, fried beets with garlic sauce, souvlaki, kebab, briam, and all were delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Chickadee

Having heard good things about Chickadee from a fellow foodie, my wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary with dinner at the restaurant. While we could have eaten inside their attractive dining room, as it was a sultry night-- we chose a table outside. Our helpful and charming waiter (Brian) surprised us with glasses of champagne and suggested choices from the menu based on our input. My wife chose a delicious wild striped bass (creatively prepared with lobster, a light coconut base with some harissa spice) on a bed of spring peas that reminded us of Israeli couscous. I enjoyed a light and tasty Steak Tartare appetizer on homemade crackers, followed by a sumptuous Spiced Duck Breast (cooked to perfection-- crispy on the outside and sanglant on the inside) accented by a romesco-like smoked almond sauce over a grape/jicama/mint julienne. Having lived in the Mediterranean for 9 years, it was a wonderful reminder of familiar tastes with a modern, New England nouvelle treatment! We plan to return soon!
