We stopped in for dinner with two small kids in tow. I ordered the beet salad, my wife the fish. Very impressed with the food, which was fantastic, and the friendly, unpretentious and attentive service. There were obviously a lot of locals in the bar, and the place had a nice, non-touristy vibe. Very glad we stopped in (total chance--we were looking for a restroom for the little girl, who ended up have a great pizza).

We read online that this place had great blueberry pancakes so we opted to go one beautiful morning. We went to sit outside and was told they weren't serving outside unless you made special arrangements. We sat inside and watched other parties of two like ourselves sit outside and get served! My husband went to front desk manager since this is part of a motel. They advertise that you don't need to stay at the motel to eat there. The front desk manager told us to pick up and go outside. There were no special arrangements. A man came to us after we already ordered and were drinking beverages and told us to get up and go inside. My husband explained the situation and the man left to speak to the front desk manager. He came back outside and told us to go back inside! They weren't serving outside although a couple was eating! He also told another couple to go inside! We all sat near each other and the door so the waitress could easily have served us. The other couple left with us...They lost the business and warranted this review. Shame on them...losing customers because of their lack of communication and accommodations on a beautfiul morning. We went to Van Rensselaerâs up the road and ate a delicious breakfast! They had cranberry walnut pancakes and an omelet---both great and terrrific service!!

Enjoyed a great breakfast here. Staff was friendly, and made us feel welcome. Sat by the open sliders on a clear morning, enjoying the view as we ate. Food was well prepared and tasty. Will return!
