Summer vacation with family

Reviewed By 642francinel

This ocean/beach front hotel is in a fantastic location right on the boardwalk and beach, with great restaurants nearby such as Coastal Salt, Da Vinci's By the Sea, and Franco's Pizza. You have the Hyatt experience that one would expect during a business trip while on vacation. The ocean/beach location was perfect for our family to enjoy a summer vacation. We spent the mornings on the boardwalk having a family breakfast, then in the early morning and afternoon at the beach, next, late in the afternoon in the hotel's pool and then evenings on the boardwalk for dinner and drinks. Coastal Salt is directly next door to the hotel and has an amazing upscale breakfast and fabulous dinner and cocktail menu. Franco's directly downstairs from the hotel has excellent pizza, wings and salad -- and bar. We actually ordered pizza and walked it right over to our beach seating area for lunch. The oceanfront balcony in our room was a true oasis. We kept the sliding glass doors open most of the time (even at night) and could hear the sound of the ocean 24/7. The sunrise and sunsets were so beautiful over the ocean. Just a wonderful time. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very Nice Beach Hotel

Reviewed By anomymous

We love the two room suite, so the size was great. Upon arrival, noticed the toilet seat was loose, and one of the bathroom lights kept flickering off and on. My husband was able to fix the toilet seat. So needs some updating, and maintenance. Loved the beach bar, pool and other amenities it has to offer. Great the ocean front view and big balcony. And the screens on the door was awesome, so bugs wouldn't come in! Love to keep it open a bit at night to hear the ocean waves. The only thing that was disappointing was no maid service. I was lucky enough to pass a maid on the way to the room, and was able to grab some towels. But they never came and took the towels or the trash. I did go down to the desk to get some more towels and asked for a trash bag. She said she would have housekeeping bring up a bag, but they never did. Other than that, it was great, and we'll definitely be back. I just hope they do better with housekeeping next time.

We went here for the live music, a local singer/guitarist. The music was excellent, as ecpected, and. the food turned out to be great as well, which was a big bonus. The fish tacos were especially delicious, as was the grilled avocado caprese salad. They also had some nice Chardonnay and a good variety of beers on tap.

Hundreds of dollars a night, all for a glorified motel

Reviewed By ryandN4217RK

So many issues that it boggles the mind. Arrived at the room to find it smelling like dog pee, with dirty stained sheets on one of the beds, and more dirty stained sheets shoved unceremoniously into the closet. I had to call twice just to get housekeeping there to bring us fresh sheets. On the third night of our stay, we found a roach in the room. For the absurdly steep price the hotel charged we ended up with a stay than some motels I've stayed at. A definite miss.
