The restaurant is open for lunch and evening meals and offers the usual range of dishes available in an Indian restaurant. Lunchtime takeaway packs that include rice, curry, plain naan and a soft drink, are popular, delicious and good value. It costs marginally more to dine in but the decor is tired so not worth it unless you need a change of scenery during a busy work day. Evening takeaway is great. Staff are friendly.

This place seems to receive quite mixed reviews. I'm happy to say that my experience was very good. The food was very tasty, including the much-maligned butter chicken (not sure what the writers of other reviews were expecting from this dish, no it's probably not Indian, but it tasted good to me). Every dish was nice. We had the banquet and with 8 big-eating-guys, we couldn't eat all the quantity of food for under $40 each including drinks and a tip. Service was helpful enough. I think it's a good little suburban Australianised-Indian restaurant.

The girlfriend and I came in with a bottle of wine, ordered butter chicken, land korma, rice, roti and samosa. The staff were super friendly and the food was cooked fresh and delicious. Affordable night, only $25 for each and we had lots of food.

Service was difficult to get as the focus is clearly on serving takeaway orders and their online bookings like Ubereats . The order taken was incorrect and one entree inedible whilst the tandoori cutlets were tough and chewy. Mains were average although saffron rice was OK. We did bring issues to their attention and they responded with a free dessert and not charging for the pakora that was not edible. This and the apology was not enough for us to return or not alert others

We had dinner at Ustav Indian Restaurant to celebrate my son's 17th birthday. We did not reserve a table but were pleasantly surprised to see the restaurant was almost full. The staff were excellent with attention to detail and were warm and friendly. The food although not cheap was of good quality. The portion sizes can be improved especially a typical $20 lamb dish is hardly enough for 2 people. Besides that it was a pleasant dining experience for all of us.
