Filthy, noisy, smelly and just gross
Reviewed By Jessie KSticky, dirty, cracked tiles, musty smell, un-vacuumed floor, backed-up sink, uncleaned stained toilet, ventilation system that spit out lots of dead bugs all over the bed and floor, pot smell in hallway, homeless people housed, un-shoed and blasting personal devices plus a staff who couldn't care less. Yikes, and this was the best rated hotel we could find in Manitowoc. OMG. I'll sleep in my car and bathe in Walmart's bathroom before I stay here again.

We were traveling from across the state this weekend and we decided to stay in Manitowoc on Sunday night. We have previously stayed several times in Manitowoc at the Holiday Inn Express, but we thought we would stay by the lake and see if we could get a lakeside room. We checked for availability at both the Baymont and the Holiday Inn and both had rooms. Holiday Inn was even lower cost for a room. We decided to try Baymont, we checked in and asked for a lakefront room. We went to our room on the 3rd floor. We looked at the window and you couldn’t even see out the window to even see the lake or lights!!!! What a huge disappointment, in fact disgusting. Pictures attached! We could even open the window to look out! Sure this is a lake front room but you can’t even see out the window yet alone open the window! You shouldn’t even charge for a lakefront room because you can’t see it!!! We thought about immediately checking out of our room and heading over to Holiday Inn but we chose to stay for the night. I can’t say how disappointed we were and to wake up in the morning and not even see outside or listen to the lake. The hotel is in a beautiful location and sure would like to stay there again, but I feel we were shorted on this stay. To charge for a lake view knowing you can’t even look out the window and see the lake is wrong.

Reviewed By Babels97This is our second time staying here. We would definitely stay again. Its not on the lake but its charm makes up for it. The hitelis decorated on the modern farmhouse style. Its CLEAN, affordable and the staff is friendly and helpful. It offers a breakfast option in the morning too. Its worth the stay.

Better than first appearance
Reviewed By RonWilliamsWhen driving up to this place you would think there is no way it could be nice. It's rough looking..like a early 90s Motel 6 that has been overrun with Spring Breakers. Inside you will find it much better..with the rooms in nice shape and super clean. It's under new management and you won't find a/c running except for in the rooms. There is definitely a strong curry scent throughout the hotel the entire time I was there. A bit annoying..but you can't sense it in the room. The breakfast options are pretty much zero..although they do leave you out a few microwave sandwiches but no fruit or juice. I think with cv19 it's easy to just eliminate that cost and let the customer fend for themselves. Just make sure to not be in Manitowoc on a Monday.. it's fully closed with most all restaurants closed.

Reviewed By Tomfox67This is my favorite hotel in Manitowoc. Great location! Walk to local restaurants, museums... clean and comfortable. Good free breakfast too. Staff is wonderful and accommodating. Currently they are upgrading the hotel too.

Very outdated.
Reviewed By GRBGRBThis hotel has a lot of potential and at one time it was great. Now it’s dated, dirty, and empty. The entire place is in desperate need of major renovations. Our room was clean and I don’t have any major complaints about the stay, it was very enjoyable. But if you’re looking for an upscale hotel, this is definitely not it. The parking and grass was filled with dog feces and garbage.
