Fantastic Holiday...

Reviewed By BlueNoseAngel2902

Our Holiday was for 10 days (late May) & included 2 Adults (Grandparents in a Maris Room), 2 Adults & 2 Children (9&11yrs) in a Village Suite. Plenty of room in both for each Family. Hotel is in a lovely setting, just across the road from the beach (you will need to walk up a little to a useable/more sandy part of the beach). We upgraded our family of 4 to All-Inclusive on the 1st day & with a 9 & 11yr old it was well worth it! Included in the room price is upto 90mins per day use of the Free Spa amenities, Infinity Pool, Sauna etc...well worth it if you have someone to watch any children (under 16's not permitted). The hotel is quite secluded so you do need the local Taxi/Bus service to get you to the local towns for any daytime/night-time exploring, there is nothing near to walk to for a meal out/drink at night etc... but they are very frequent & as of May 2022 you still need a mask on the buss or they will not permit you to travel. Buffet Breakfast/Lunch & Dinner (depending on your Rate) is available inside & Lunch is also served outside at the Pool Bar (table service), food was excellent with lots of choice. *Food/Drink choices can be accessed via the App (QR code to be scanned at Bar). There were so many onsite amenities & for all ages...great to do with the Animation Team when they do the daily activities (except a Sunday, thats their day off). *Timetable of activities is also available on the App which was helpful to keep track for the kids...& Adults :-) The Animation Team were fantastic, they added a bit of extra fun to each day & it didn't stop with just the day...they hosted the night entertainment too for the Children's Mini-Club (my kids were just a little too old for the music), after this the team played modern music for them to dance & have fun. Then the night entertainment would begin, either from the Animation Team OR an outside group of performers...either way, it kept us entertained into the night. A big thank you too all the staff at the Hotel, from initially meeting the fab Reception Staff/Room Cleaning, to the main Pool Bar & main hotel indoor Restaurant...& to Fathi & his Animation Team who we spent alot of time with, Marko, Aliya, Maya, Carlota, Micha & Mille :-) We mainly did the activities with Marko who was fantastic both during the day & at night keeping us all entertained :-) Thank You. Overall the holiday was a huge hit with my family...my kids are hinting VERY HARD that they want to go back!

Hotel falls under the 3 drink rule so we went full boad what a wast that was, breakfast OK lunch & dinner were deafull the cheapest cut of pork & tiny chicken wings every single day very very poor choice no cheese or hams to even make a salad, there was water with lunch & dinner for 7days of my holiday on day 8 the water had gone you have to pay for water with your meal I complained & all they said was what room are you in very intimidating as if don't like it leave. So had to eat out a lot. The bar is over priced one euro deposit for a plastic cup €2.50 for a small beer €2 for a pint outside hotel €7.50 for vodka & cola. I will be back to magaluf very soon but not back to samos the hotel has changed & not for the better.

Lovely clean hotel

Reviewed By smallers1

We have just returned from a weeks all inclusive break. The hotel is spotlessly clean and maintained. The food is lovely, couldn’t fault it. Sometimes when food is cooked on mass it can lack taste and flavour but theirs was lovely. Lots of choice and tasty options. Couldn’t fault the hotel itself at all. The only negative I could find was it’s location. It is a walk to the town its a lot of steps yes but not a major issue if you don’t have mobility issues it’s just I like a little wander after an evening meal and there is nothing really close by. But we had sea views from our room which were lovely and the hotel itself is superb. Definitely a 4 star rating.

Great experience, awesome food and beaches. Lovely spacious, modern room with a disappointing and frustrating location.

Reviewed By 321jackw

Visually a very impressive hotel and grounds. Buffet selection was excellent both for breakfast and evenings in the restaurant with a good variety throughout the week, offering an array of cuisines. Access to Cala Egos beach was ideal although there is a hotel charge for sunbeds on the beach and a premium charge for reserving Bali beds around the main pool area which I thought was a cheek as an All Inclusive paid guest. Entertainment is different every night ranging from tribute bands / live music, however no real amphitheatre / stage decking was disappointing when comparing to previous holiday experiences, lacking somewhat of an atmosphere. Walking distance to local beaches took around 15-20 minutes and a stroll to the Marina & Cala d’or main town you’re looking at around 40-50 minutes which was fine but further out than expecting. My main annoyance was the fact that after paying for a ‘Sea View & Side Pool Room’, on arrival we were given a room on the first floor corner block which offered a pool and beach view but unfortunately no sea view whatsoever due to an overhanging large tree blocking what would have been a picturesque outlook from the balcony. Frustrations were aired respectfully to the reception team however no adjustments were made and instead placed on a reserve list and told that when guests check out we’ll be first to be contacted that never happened which I thought was exceptionally poor as the Hotel was never completely booked up. Overall a very lovely holiday experience however, with the exception of an individual at reception.

Could be better

Reviewed By C1460VVrebeccac

Firstly, I want to start by saying that my overall experience at hotel Condesa was brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed my time. The staff are brilliant, attentive and friendly. It’s lovely that they talk to you and make an effort to get to know you during your stay. However, despite this, we had a few mishaps that were very disappointing. I stayed at Condesa with my sister in June 2022. One tip I have is if you are on a budget, don’t get a taxi from the airport. It cost us €90 to get to Condesa which was extortionate. There are buses from the airport that go very close to the hotel. On arrival at Condesa we were greeted by a lovely team of reception staff who told us all the information we needed and made us feel very welcome. Now, unfortunately, it started to go slightly downhill from here… Room: We arrived at the room to find a very very basic hotel room. For us, it wasn’t a big problem as we weren’t planning on spending much time in the room but it wouldn’t have still been nice to have more facilities. There was no coffee/tea making facilities, there is a TV which is good, we also had a balcony but the walls are a horrible texture like something you would find on the outside of a building (this is a very small thing but it really makes a difference to the appearance). The shower looks fancy, but it’s really basic again. The bathroom has good storage and provides a hairdryer which is great if it works. But unfortunately it’s one of those that is fitted into the wall and Every time we turned it on, about 2 minutes later, it overheated and wouldn’t work for ages. So we had to walk around with wet hair most of the time. The air con in the rooms is not good. In a hot country like this you would expect decent air con when it is advertised on the room booking, but ours did not work and when we told the lady at reception admitted some air con didn’t work and she just told us to ‘open the window’. This advice wasn’t great considering outside was 30+ degrees. One of the main things that has to be mentioned is a sewage problem we had during our stay. When we first entered our room we got a whiff of the most disgusting sewage smell. We didn’t think much of it as we thought it was just a one off. But throughout our stay we noticed it more and more and eventually traced it to the shower plug. This smell was honestly so disgusting that both me and my sister were gagging and couldn’t use the bathroom. When I mentioned this to reception they said they would send a maintenance man up to the room but I had to be there to let him in. So I went up and waited. I was told he would be 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I got fed up and went back down to ask when he’d come. I was told to wait longer, but I explained that I’m on my holiday and I want to be enjoying myself, not upstairs in a hot room waiting for a maintenance man. She just looked at me blankly so I asked for the manager. I was then told by another lady at reception that the manager was ‘doing big important things’ as if to imply that my concern was not important. So, I voiced my concerns about the smell to the other member of staff who straight away raised her eyebrows, laughed and proceeded to say ‘you are on an island. Of course it smells’ (not to mentioned she was also sorting out things whilst speaking to me which I thought was rather unprofessional and made me feel like I wasn’t being listened to). Anyway she justified my concerns by saying that because we were on an island all the rooms smelt like that. I can’t quite believe that out of the hundreds of people staying here everyone is happy to have that awful smell in their room but at this point I just could not be bothered to argue. I was very disappointed not to be given some kind of sympathy and understanding or offered a resolution. One other thing is that the wifi didn’t work and other guests had the same issue. This isn’t great seeing as my sister and I both had to submit university assessments during the stay which meant using our 4G. Food: The food was overall very good and my sister and I enjoyed the excellent range of foods with different themes every night. There was a good vegan section too so dietary requirements were nicely covered. The timings were really good too as you had a good range of time that you could eat between. Dining space is lovely outside, not our favourite inside but it is bearable! The disappointing part of the food is that I bit into a chicken kebab one day that was completely raw inside. Not just a bit pink, this piece of chicken was cooked lightly on the outside and the inside was pure uncooked chicken. It worries me that these were being handed out to kids… my sister also got a burger one day which was undercooked (photo attached). Overall though food was good and I can understand that sometimes these things do happen, but that chicken was clearly taken off way too early and should never had been served. Location: The location is so nice. The town is not far to walk and the bus service is really good. The 324 to Alcudia stops at all the little towns on the way and it’s really frequent and cost about €3. If you plan of taking taxis anywhere, be aware that every morning there seemed to be a 1 hour wait for them. This was crazy so wasn’t worth waiting for. If you turn left out of the street where the hotel is and keep walking there is actually a taxi rank with frequent taxis waiting. The beach front location of the hotel is breathtaking and I have to say it is excellent. SkyBar: I would definitely recommend saving €7 to go and treat yourself to a sunset drink on the skybar. It is honestly so gorgeous and the drinks are good prices for what you get. Not all inclusive but this is very much understandable. Love music and good dj sets. Really liked this. Entertainment: We really enjoyed the entertainment it was so fun and the vibe was great. All kid friendly and they do a kids disco every night which was so sweet to watch. The entertainment staff are great I can’t fault them and shoutout to the bar staff who are hilarious and always made us laugh. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Condesa minus the mishaps. I was rather disappointed not to be given some resolution to my complaints but I guess that’s just the way it goes. If you have kids and are looking for a good kid friendly holiday, this place is really good. But I would definitely say splash the extra few £ and get a bigger, nicer room. For 2 people the room was fine, but if there’s a few of you, it will be wayyyyy too small. The room was the main disappointment during our stay but everything else was really great. Thank you Condesa!

This hotel, and more specifically it’s staff was excellent. Exceeded our expectations. It is located right on the beach (which is stunning with shallow crystal clear water), with dining and areas to have a drink looking out to the sea. The property is very well maintained, with gardeners and guys repainting, as well as frequently cleaning of the pathways etc. our room was a good size and had very good a/c and was cleaned daily (thank you to the maids). We ate dinner at the restaurant 5 out of the 7 nights and while it was a buffet, the food was great quality and there was a lot of variance each night which made it interesting. While it got busier through the week as it was half term, it never felt like there was more guests than the hotel could accommodate. The staff deserve a special mention for both their friendliness and their hard work. They were always attentive and happy to help, making it a great experience. As noted, the two outside pools are not heated but I didn’t find this a problem and neither did our kids. Thoroughly recommend and will likely return at some point in the near future.

My room was comfortable and simple, my friends' rooms too, some with balconies, some without. After 25 minutes no food or drink arrived. I spoke with a second member of staff as our original server was busy showing her friend photographs on her phone. When I questioned where our food and drinks were he asked if I was sure I had ordered! Anyway five minutes later our Sangria arrived. Twenty minutes later still no food so then went to find the manager who very dismissively couldn’t explain what had happened but did find our order and amongst other rude arrogant and dismissive comments asked ‘do you want the food or not’. Suffice to say we said no and left. Will not be eating in the hotel restaurants from now on if this attitude is indicative of management. Sadly for us this has spoiled the weekend as there are very few nice restaurants nearby but at least the staff are nice appreciates the business.
