AMAZING HOTEL
Reviewed By joanteacherJust returned from ten days at the Arona Gran - what a wonderful experience we have had!!! Like many travellers, this was our first holiday in over two years, so my husband and I were so looking forward to relaxing and enjoying excellent accommodation, fabulous food and high levels of service. We needn't have worried - the Arona Gran met all of our expectations - and more. The staff are truly amazing, and as a team work tirelessly to make everyone's holiday special. The hotel itself is outstanding; lots of little areas planted out quite ingeniously with some amazing foliage that is just so unexpected and only adds to the overall ambience of the space. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, whether you're by the pool, in the bar/club area or in your room - big thanks to the cleaning staff. Prior to arrival we had requested a "higher" floor and were given a room on the sixth floor which was delightful. There were even sun blinds on the balcony which could be lowered to shield a little of the late afternoon sun which was very useful. The food at the Arona Gean is simply wonderful. So much choice both at breakfast and evening meal (we were half board so cannot comment on lunch); both meals were served buffet style which suited us. There was always food freshly cooked by the chef, lots of lovely fish and different cuts of meat; to compliment the variety of food available, there was also a cavery available which again provided lots of delicious meat/chicken. Sorry I can't comment on vegetarian/vegan options but I didn't hear anyone complaining. We had lunch a couple of times at the pool bar, small choice but very acceptable and not overpriced. Entertainment staff work hard thought the day providing a variety of activities to occupy guests. We didn't participate ourselves but everyone seemed to be having a great time joining in the wide choice of things to do. In the evening there was a piano player early evening and then generally from around 8.30 there was a full programme of performers until about 10.30. We didn't watch every night, but the ones we did see were a bit hit and miss; The 80's Night was particularly good. The only improvement I would like to suggest would be new furniture on the balcony; ours had definately seen better days!!!! Thankyou to everyone at the Arona Gran, it's been amazing and we have already booked to come back in April 2023 for my birthday.

Bracelet charging system
Reviewed By Dee-Marie MThe hotel its self was lovely most of the restaurant staff were friendly not all though that was the same with the bar staff room staff were all friendly The reception well that's a different matter We had problems with our bracelet charging system,we put €50 on to start with, that went much quicker than we thought but that's another story We then put another €50 but when we went to get a drink no money was on the bracelet. Reception checked our room no and said only €50 had been put on the bracelet Nicolas who put it on rembered putting it on but computer said no, It was like we were not believed nor was Nicolas, my husband produced the receipt, they kept looking at the computer as though it would change, another reception staff got out paper copies and questions what the money had been put on another room Make sure you get receipt for everything, we were made to feel like we were lying and no apology only from Nicolas. Terrible system apparently only been running about 6 weeks There was a couple of other things regarding reception but this was the worst Had to wait until 4.30 for the room

Reviewed By ij31We have just stayed here for the second time after our first trip just over 3 years ago. What can i say? Superb! We originally thought of booking a different hotel for our holiday this time but in the end opted for P.Park after our very enjoyable first visit. Nice to see the Hotel still very clean, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms. The restaurant has had a revamp since our last visit but the variety, quality and freshness of food still remains absolutely top notch. Pool area still clean and enough beds to go around with and easy accessible bar and food area with plenty of options. I do suggest you go all inclusive with regards to the food. The only downer in my opinion is the amount of options on the drinks if you are all inclusive, it was pretty poor but it all depends on preference. Also, it's brilliant that they offer the free mini bus down to the seafront and at regulars times (even thought you could walk down in less then 10mins). Would I stay here again? YES, without hesitation!

Reviewed By NbreezoOn first arrival greated well by reception, the bar was just about to shut but the kind barman was still willing to let us have a pint before he closed. Good start. I found Ohasis to have a calm and relaxing atmosphere. My wife had informed them it was our 10 year anniversary so we had a nice note and bottle of ? bubbles. We're on the 3rd floor but had a great sea view room 302. The room was cleaned well and towels replaced regularly so thanks to the cleaners good job. We were self catering but I did try there buffet breakfast additional 12 euro all the usual options. Pool bar snacks were nice aswell. Ice creams for sale. Pool isn't the biggest but it's plenty for the guests that use it. Special mention for the life guard who had some stick on reviews before we went,mainly due to not being allowed large inflatables. I went with my wife and two boys age 8 and 11. He was great with them had a little chat each day when went to the pool, even taught them a bit of Spanish lol. Some people have had a moan about the location it is on a hill but we knew that as we do our research before we go. There's no lift that I know about and there are steps if your on the higher levels, we are able body people and don't mind walking up steps so no problem. Although if youf not so able it would be a good idea for the hotel to provide someone to take cases or help getting them to your room, I dont know if they do as we are capable ourselves. It's abit hilly in Los Cristianos, again we research so thats not the hotels fault. If you don't like hills either get a taxi or get a hotel by the beach. We walked down to the beach front and back each morning with our kids then walked out to the beach front sometimes to Las Americas for evening meals then got a taxi back at around 6-7 euro. There are resterants very near by if you only want a short walk, there's also a couple of supermarkets just down the hill.

Great little complex, met our needs

We arrived late and 1st 1st first impressions were the apartment was dated however after a good night's sleep and a visit to Tenerife Sur Apartments over the road (sister apartments and we could have been allocated either) we decided we were in the best ones in Christian Sur. Our room 336 had a lovely big balcony and pool view, the complex was quiet and made up of owners and holiday apartments. The pool didn't open until 10am and the staff didn't unlock the sunbeds until then so no reserving at silly times, these times suited us as we like a lie in on hols. Reception staff helpful and friendly, a restaurant on site served really good food, drinks and ice cream, there's a supermarket on site or others directly on your door step. Some restaurant and bars directly outside which were all really nice. Room is a big dated but was spotless and id prefer this to a modern dirty room!! 1 bedroom with 2 singles and living rm with twin sofa beds. Overall I'd say a good 3 star acc, beautiful well kept complex, good staff, nice and peaceful but amenities on your door step or a 10 min walk to the beach. Highly recommended if using as a base.

Don't be put off by low star rating
Reviewed By Jane LDon't be put off with the rating, clean apartment recently refurbished. N It's a residential property so the corridors are as such. Reception are clean and modern. We had apartment 47 on the 4th floor amazing views, quie overlooking the pool area which is very well maintained. €1 a day for the sunbeds but plenty. Everything you need if you want to self cater with a very reasonable priced overseas supermarket under the apartment block. Our beds was made during our stay which was a surprise to us as it was self catering booking. Close by are a row of bars which was very reasonably priced, we had breakfast out everyday at the Market Tavern. Highly recommended Nice walk along seafront to the main areas around 10 minutes to main beach.

Reviewed By babamarThe place is OK for 1 night. The room was very well, the coffee room is cosy and equipped to have coffee or breakfast but there are only 4 chairs... Rooms are located on 1st and 2nd floors only accessible with very steep and narrow staircases... so it is difficult to go there with big or large suitcase.
