Incredible Front Desk Staff

I need to thank Brandy from the bottom of my heart, she made my daughter and my vacation unforgettable. She went above and beyond to fix the mistakes that Expedia had made. The sent cheesecake and macarons to our room with a special Birthday message to my 10 year old daughter. She deserves a raise!!!! The only disappointing part of the hotel was the rooftop servers. None of them were very attentive, it took them forever to even ask me what i would like to order. I sat at the rooftop restaurant for 45 minutes and there were only 3 or 4 other guests around. Truthfully were pretty terrible. All and all though I would have to say Brandy and the lady that worked with her (I'm sorry I forgot her name) were the very BEST and made this trip the most memorable mother/daughter vacation!!! Thank you so much Brandy

Not what we would have expected

Reviewed By Livingourbestlife2

While the hotel is beautiful and clean our stay was disappointing. Upon arrival we were told we needed to pay $150 per night which ours worked out to be $1050. I understand holding a card but to take the money and return 3-5 days after departure is not good. On our 2nd and 3rd nights stay we were woken at 7am with drilling above us or a similar kind of noise and on the 3rd day the same noise but to the side of us. We understand maintenance work needs to be done but at 7am whilst on a relaxing holiday was not what we expected. We spent a couple of days around the pool and all the sun beds are lined up equally approximately 12 inches from the pools edge which felt very close for trying to walk around so my Husband pulled ours back slightly and was told quite rudely by one of the pool attendants they needed to be put back or she would be in trouble.she then proceeded to put them back. We are meant to be on holiday but it felt very regimental as to what you could and couldn’t do. Some of the staff around the pool never gave you the time of day or even acknowledged us. We understand that after COVID making money back is very important but there was such a fuss made for meeting/conference guests. Please treat all guests equally Please remember we also paid to stay in your hotel too. Upon departing we were never asked how our stay we were just told a invoice would be sent to my e.mail address of our bill. We did not get a holiday vibe everything was rather regimental. We have never felt this way about any hotel we have stayed in. I think they need to lighten up and allow guests to be on holiday. It’s not all about image it’s about making your guests feel comfortable and welcomed and unfortunately we didn’t. May I point out that the cleaners are the ones that need recognition for keeping this hotel spotless and finding time to speak to you whenever they saw you. Maybe some of the other staff could take some advice from them. Well done to all the cleaning staff.

Disappointing visit at Fairmont Century Plaza

Reviewed By Z8273ZYvaleriek

Just returned home from a disappointing long weekend at the Fairmont Century Plaza. Do not book the Fairmont Gold rooms. Why ? Because they do not have any of the Fairmont Gold Perks available. They have false advertising on their website. This is the information from their website ” Elegantly appointed Fairmont Gold Floor guest rooms, located on the 10th and 11th floors, feature private check-in and lounge with knowledgeable private Concierge at your service. The Fairmont Gold Lounge provides complimentary culinary offerings served in the privacy of the lounge, including deluxe continental breakfast, canapés and evening desserts.” They had none of this available. I was not informed of this until the day of check in. Very poor communication. Yes, I got a room on the 10th floor but that was it. I was offered food from the restaurant but later found out that I was still responsible for the gratuities. For the price I paid, I should have stayed in Beverly Hills. The only advantage to this hotel was having the Westfield Century City mall within walking distance. After this experience not sure I ever want to stay at a Fairmont Hotel again.

Millennium Biltmore Los Angeles

The historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel has been a legendary Los Angeles landmark since 1923. With exquisite Spanish-Italian Renaissance architecture, including stunning hand-painted ceilings, it's rich history is most noted for its connection with the Oscars - the founding banquet for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was held in the Crystal Ballroom in 1927, where the original "Oscar" statuette was sketched on a Biltmore napkin, and eight Academy Awards banquets were held in the Biltmore Bowl during the '30s and '40s.

Beautiful hotel but sleeping rooms are average

Reviewed By Larry P

Interesting hotel as a historic site and if you're into old time luxury hotels from back in the day. Honestly, I care more about the actual sleeping room and accommodations. The actual sleeping rooms are OK but a bit dated. Nothing wrong with anything, but I personally prefer more modern facilities. The hotel itself is definitely unique, so kudos for not being a sterile, cookie-cutter facility. Please note that their fitness room is not handicap accessible. I was suffering from a really sore knee during my visit and had to drag my leg up and down a flight of stairs to get to the pool and fitness room. I'm assuming as a historic site they're able to bypass ADA compliance, but they really need to address this issue even if they're not forced to. The staff is really nice. The hotel is relatively close to the subway and across the street from a bus stop. Many restaurants and fast food spots within a short walk (4-5 blocks) from the hotel. There is a Whole Foods a few blocks from the hotel which I definitely took advantage of. However, the downtown area surrounding the hotel may be a little uncomfortable for some who are not used to being in a city environment. Nothing too bad but expect to run into several homeless people when you venture out of the hotel.
