My wife and I have stayed here a few times in the past with our little dog. The views from the rooms are spectacular we always had ocean front or ocean view. This time the experience wasn't so great we checked in late Friday night and we found a lot of paint on the carpet. Which I was shocked they had carpet in a dog friendly room . There was paint on the chairs .The refrigerator was filthy dirty and the handle on the toilet bowl was busted. The next morning we went down and spoke with Melanie she was fantastic she sent maintenance up right away to fix the toilet. She couldn't do anything about the paint but she was able to move us if we chose to. We didn't want to do. Due to the view. I explained to her also the elevator was filthy She said this is unacceptable and refunded me a night stay. Melanie did an excellent job. I will gladly go back again thanks to the help Melanie provided. This time not so great. However every other it was. Thank you Don

Absolutely the Best!

It was my first visit to LBI. My husband found this little motel and it was perfection. Just steps away from anything one would need for a beach get-away, and a short drive to everything else. We loved having a mini fridge (with freezer to refreeze our cooler ice packs) and microwave in the room which allowed us to heat up the dinner we brought from home, then we walked across to the beach with our beach chairs to have a little sunset picnic. After dark we walked back to the hotel and enjoyed the mesmerizing sound of crashing waves from the roof top sitting area. Judy was amazing! She greeted us warmly and offered many interesting tidbits of the area. As she's lived there since the 70s, she knows every nook of the island, which for us included some recommendations for vegan restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, and although on the first floor, just above street level, we never felt 'seen' by passers-by. We appreciated the A/C unit even though we ended up opening the windows at night for the fresh ocean air. We also appreciated the adjustable shower. Sometimes the showers are placed so high up, that I (being only 5'4") end up soaking my hair from above when all I wanted was a shower. The shower faucet had an adjustable arm so it was possible to shower without getting soaked from above. The only possible suggestion I could make would be to bring your own pillow. The pillows we had were very thick and hard foam slabs. I'm sooo glad I travel with my own pillow but my husband had a rough sleeping experience as the pillows were so hard and thick. BUT apart from that, I can't imagine any place better situated on LBI and if we ever have the opportunity to return to LBI, we will definitely stay here. Thank you to Judy for making our stay so memorable!

Quick trip to take advantage of a beautiful day. Easy check in. Few steps to the ocean. The wall AC unit worked great to cool off the room quickly on a very hot day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had everything I needed.

Amy at the front desk

My girlfriend and I stayed there for 4 nights. Room was good. We had a problem with our Uber ride to the airport. (Uber screwed us, we booked the previous night and the counted down for over an hour that our ride was arriving. Also after that countdown said 4 minutes away. They eventually said no drivers available) Screw Uber!!! Amy was so nice at the front desk, she found us a person that could give us a ride to the airport (for money of course). It was much needed and the price was fair. Amy was so nice and calm and a very pleasant person. Thank you again Amy

Reading some of these reviews, kind of makes me sad, but also happy at the same time that maybe people will stay away from this gem! Butch was excellent and so was Paco!! Staying here and July again!! Location doesn’t get any better, you’re right next to the beach, and a few minutes away from fantasy Island, restaurants and shops!! Holiday snack bar is right around the corner, my favorite spot on the island to grab lunch or dinner! Another gem!!

Beware of room 224

Reviewed By flowingn2hex

My husband and I just returned from an overnight here. Check in was pretty easy. We get to our room and notice that we have no view. And from walking around the hotel I think this is the only view with air conditioners. We asked to move but they said it’s full. The room is spacious but it is already showing age. Lots of marks all over. The kitchen cabinet was screwed shut and the shower floor needed a good bleaching. The room also did not have a functional sprinkler. There was just a pipe sticking out of the wall. The hotel also hosts weddings. Be cautious of when you get back because if there is a wedding there won’t be any parking at night. It’s first come first serve. And being the hotel is in the middle of a busy intersection there isn’t really any on street parking. And if you have our room you will hear the music till at least 11. Pool was busy with no where to sit. Pretty much the whole time. We visited a few times and it was always busy. For 450 during off season with a group of friends you get a lot of space. But no parking. At least discount your one crappy room. I can’t imagine paying 900 during peak season.
