Next door, walking distance was an Applebee's Restaurant. Was very quiet location. Although the hotel is pricey (higher than mid-range but lower than Luxury prices) -- taking advantage of weary travellers.

Henry L. Thayer was a successful Littleton, New Hampshire merchant with a dream to build a hotel more modern in equipment and character that others of its kind. The dream started taking shape in 1843 when he purchased the lot just east of his store January 14, 1850 as opening day for "THAYER'S WHITE MOUNTAIN HOTEL." Success was soon established due in part to the coming of the railroads to Littleton in 1852. After all 164 year pass the Thayers inn still offer great rooms, food and service to all visitors.

Reviewed By geoguy09Avery nice hotel/inn in the downtown of a nice town and quiet setting. Pleasant dining and reading areas within the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again. I stayed one night and enjoyed my stay. This is a good choice for couples, families, friends or alone. There is a great amount of history in the hotel photos and design.

Reviewed By saskincWe stayed Sept 2021 for one night. As noted, it is the oldest motel in NH. The rooms are old fashion, but with modern touches. Updated bathroom, comfortable beds, nice small refrigerator, microwave, Kurig coffee maker in room, table/chair, desk. The check in was easy and the owners very polite and helpful. Only drawback was the road noise at night. Nothing the owners can do about it, but it was surprising for such a small town to have so much traffic at night.

The Eastgate Inn is a newly renovated Limited-Service Motel in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Located at the gateway to Historic Littleton. We've been hosting and entertaining North Country visitors for decades. We offer 40 clean, ground level units with Cable LED TV, telephones, Internet Access and free continental breakfast. Offering free WiFi access, A microwave, refrigerator and 40" LED TV are included in each simply furnished guest room. The private bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Littleton EastGate Inn offers free parking right in front of room. Numerous outdoor activities can be enjoyed in the surroundings, including hiking, skiing and fishing. We are close to all the White Mountain attractions and winter recreation areas. Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway is 13 minutes’ drive from the property. The Flume Gorge is 18 minutes’ drive. There are better places to stay so please look else where ... Didn't end up staying here because of the treatment my daughter and I were subjected to...

Reviewed By jordandemarreMy son and I loved our stay at the Country Squire Motel. The room was very comfortable. Our check-in was smooth, the owner is very polite and eager to help if need assistance. The room is very cozy. We had a two double bed. The bathroom has a standing shower (no tub or walls to step over). The room has plenty of lighting options along with a dresser and closet. We also had a minifridge, coffee maker, microwave, telephone, and alarm clock. The room has usb as well as three-prong plug-ins for your electronic devices. The TV is a Roku/Hulu tv. It was very nice to relax after a long day to enjoy some Hulu entertainment. The internet connection sometimes lagged and caused us to lose connection with the app. It was easy to re-enter after being kicked from your program. There are a few boys who play basketball on the premises. They are extremely polite and thoughtful. They do not play too early or too late in the day.
