Reviewed By moo_bearWe spent one magical night in the Tanganika Lodge, which was perfect for the 3 of us. We had worried about the lack of A/C (and it was a very warm day) and, perhaps also, we thought we might miss the TV. But, NO - who can bother about such things when the view is of giraffes, various antelopes and preening ostriches? We particularly loved the odd friendship between a donkey and a ram! The lodge was very comfortable and was spotless. Sunset was glorious. We were made to feel very welcome and would love to return!

You will enjoy the comfort of this nomad habitat and the richness of its furnishing. In the morning, you will be served a sumptuous breakfast at the farmp, ideal for hiking enthusiasts. Our five yurts are manufactured in Mongolia by a cooperative of craftsmen. They are made up of wooden frame covered with several layers of fabric : insulating felt, waterproof canvass, canvass facing... The 'yurt-rooms" can accomodate a maximum of four persons (surface area : about 27 m2). They are set up on a raised wooden floor and are fully furnished : 1 queen-size bed (140cm), 2 single beds (90cm), coffee table, stools, safe etc. The yurts are lit and are heated in April and October. Each bed has the following : duvet, blanket, and pillow (you can bring along sheets, duvets, duvet covers and pillowcases). Bathrooms are shared (toilet block with 3 shower cubicles, 2 toilets, 2 external tubs). Depending on the options, breakfast is served in a room on the farm.

Reviewed By Sofie SVery last minute, during our road trip from Belgium to France, we came across this place. Search criteria was “yurt” because we always wanted to see one. But o my... these are wonderful! Nice interior, enough luxury, spacious and very clean. Shower house a few metres away : also extremely clean. Olivier and Christophe are the hosts and they do their utter best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. In spite of heavy rain, we had a nice short break here. I highly recommend this place!

Reviewed By heydzinrI cant believe how lucky we were to find this gem. We did not like where we were and had 6 days to spend somewhere. This popped up and we grabbed it. Out of the way but perfect. We had the best room, great view, tranquil AND Karenne cooked for us every night. Even asking what we wanted to eat. Great advice, found me a doctor, gave us tourist info, and was always smiling. What fun we had with Google translate trying to understand one a nother. I will always be grateful for this little piece of heaven that they shared with us.

The breakfast this morning was incredible, Best in France so far! Close to some interesting places. Oradour sur glane being 1 of those Thank you ?

Your stay can be as extended as you want. Completely back-to-basics on the campsite or in a luxury cottage or B&B (cdh in french); the choice is yours. You can choose to go back to basic and become one with nature because we have all the space. Whether you choose the cosiness of our terrace by the pool for a cup of coffee or thee, wine or a cold beer. We also offer a variety of meals. More about this under the heading of food and drink. There is free WiFi in and around the house and by the pool.
Perfect farm B&B, highlight of our France tour!
Reviewed By dazman_familyWe stayed with Erika, Rob, Duncan and Thijmen and this was one of our best stays we have had in France. You must accept Erika’s invitation to dinner. For a reasonable price we experienced the most delicious meal we have had so far in French. Erika is an amazing chef!! The house itself was beautifully furnished, with spacious and private rooms with ensuites. You can tell that Erika and Rob love entertaining. We felt like family members and could quite easily settle in for a lengthy stay here. Nothing was too much trouble and Erika was happy to accommodate extra requests. Erika and Rob speak English, Dutch, German, French. Their boys are just as friendly and we are grateful for their hospitality.

Fantastic Hosts
Reviewed By Andrew PGail and Chris were fantastic hosts; friendly and very accommodating. The Gite was clean, tidy and catered for all of our requirements. Our trip over was short and unfortunately to attend a funeral. We hope to be back to make the most of the excellent accommodation and Gail's fantastic cooking!

Warm welcome
Reviewed By FisibooWe stopped overnight on our way South. We weren't disappointed, we had a warm welcome from our hosts Sylvie and Jean-Pierre. The B&B is in a lovely old building, and our room was very nice, the bathroom was compact, but had everything we wanted in it and the bed was comfortable. We also had a sitting area with a sofa and chairs. There is a communal sitting room upstairs with a TV. We opted to eat at the B&B, and had a delicious meal, with home smoked duck breast and other delicacies. Our meal was very convivial and shared with the other two guests. Sylvie an Jean-Pierre both speak good English. Recommended as a convenient stopover as close to the motorway, but very quiet. There is no parking outside, but we parked nearby and walked back to the B&B.

Reviewed By AngyDiwDiwHôtes très accueillants. Chambre et SDB propre et spacieuse. Du fait de la crise sanitaire, dommage qu'il n'y ait pas le repas du soir propose. PS : les toilettes à l'entrée de la maison pas très pratique non plus...mais j'imagine que c'est à cause de la situation actuelle aussi. Recommande ce lieu chaleureux.
