Superb food with a view
Reviewed By Vickie MWe are here after a day at the beach, starting with a relaxing aperitif on the terrace and a 3 course dinner. The prices are reasonable given the choice on the menu and location couldn’t be better. I didn’t want my beach day to end so was happy to gaze at the sea with the setting sun all evening! We will be back!

Welcome to "La Galerie" in Leucate Village : At the heart of a peninsula, very close to beaches, on the pedestrian square of the village Leucate is held Bed and Breakfast house of seventeen century completely restored. Each bedroom present a very interesting mix between furniture of the XXth or contemporary design which gets involved in XVIIth elements. New shower-rooms in the precious materials. A place marked with light and serenity, an unusual address where are exposed paintings inspired by Italy in the ground floor whereas rooms divide up in floors. Discreet and warm welcome. Double room from 80€ to 130€ according to the season and the size of the room. Surrounding wilderness on a protected peninsula surrounded by the sea. Ideal for beach, walks, sailing sports.

Reviewed By V9363CXninahLa Galérie is superbly located in the centre of Leucate. The Chambres d'Hotes is a friendly and welcoming and very easy-going. The Covid sanitary measures were perfectly respected and everyone felt safe and relaxed. The church bells keep a comforting rhythm of time, while the sounds and smells of the market below render the whole experience lively and infinite. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed. Efficient service.

No WiFi access & owner not willing to help
Reviewed By Morgane LDuring 5 days we had no WiFi {as several other clients}. The hotel needs to renew their OS certificate. We ve tried to explain that but they did not wanted to listen nor did anything to try to help. Additionally they do not speak English.being 1/2 French, 1/2 Brit I ve tried to help some guest that were trying to check in : they would not take care of them during their lunch break. Finally we did book and pay a room with balcony and did not had one. We were told this is due to booking.com. The hotel is clean, but for the reasons mentioned earlier I recommend and to search for alternative hotel.

Les plats sont très biens présentés, les produits sont frais et quel délice ! On n’est pas dans un abattoir à touriste du bord de mer … ça se ressent dans l’assiette ! Le rapport qualité prix est bon , pour avoir mangé du thon mi cuit, je l’ai trouvé bien servi en quantité rapport au prix proposé. Pensez à réserver ce genre de pépite est vite pris d’assaut.

Reviewed By Beverley MWe had a lovely experience at this hotel, we stayed one night but wished it could have been longer. It was all lovely, ambience, owners, staff, coffee, room, bed, shower, pool, We didn’t have breakfast as we had an early lunch booked but it looked amazing and way above the standard usually found in hotels. Yes, the room is on the small side but it was absolutely lovely. Can’t wait to go back. We were concerned about there being no car park but there is a public car park a 1 minute walk away which was perfect.

Our car broke down, this made the trip better
Reviewed By 451malinbWe are norwegians traveling through europe by car. Our car broke down on the a9 just short of the spanish boarder. We were in a bad mood and sort of desperate when our car got towed. We managed to get a spot at this hotel on very short notice, and a local man offered us a ride to the hotel. When we arrived we were met by a very relaxed man who owned the hotel. This was exactly what we needed in our state of mood. Far away from home and not speaking french. The manager speaked english very well and was really accomidating. We have not yet slept at the hotel, but arriving just made a very bad situation very much better. The room was very nice, there is a roof top swimming pool and the design is both cosy and nostalgic. I recomend this place, its very welcomming and beautiful. The town is also very charming.

Our guest house is located in charming seaside resort la franqui. We offer 4 parental suites with wifi and sea view. You may enjoy our wooden terrasse under a figtree as breakfast room, and then take a walk to the beach! La Franqui is a famous kite and wind surf spot, but is also suited for snorekelling or fishing, as well as hiking and running! We are very close to Leucate old town with it's small shops and typic market on fryday mornings, as well as Leucate's beach restaurants, the famous "paillotes" Chez Biquet or Le Poulpe.

Reviewed By 247laurencejAprès un accueil sympathique réalisé par Cédric lors de notre arrivée, les relations ont été toutes autres au moment du check out. En effet , mon amie était passée par le CE de l’entreprise pour laquelle elle travaille , et nous a demandé de régler le séjour dans son intégralité alors que celui ci avait déjà été payé en amont via la plateforme de réservation en lien avec le CE. Cédric a eu a notre égard un comportement accusateur qui induisait de notre part de la mauvaise foi. Nous avons souhaité lui présenter notre bon de réservation qu’il n’a pas souhaité regarder en nous disant qu’il ne voulait pas se fâcher avec nous d’une manière arrogante. La situation s’est soldée quand il a contacté sa femme Delphine qui s’est expliquée très gentiment avec mon amie . Dommage de partir sur cette note négative . Petit déjeuner à reconsidérer .
