The Hotel CAlifornia is a Hotel completely renovated taking inspiration from the fifties look of his architecture. Located 200 meters from the beach and 100 meters from the center of Le Lavandou, this hotel offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Sea view rooms with amazing view of the golden islands or Hill vieuw Rooms. All are air-conditioned and some with terraces and balconies. The bike path starts at the foot of the Hotel and takes you in 10 minutes walk to the beach of St clair.Also Take the ferry Boat, to reach the golden islands, only 5 min walk from the Hotel California. All our rooms are soundproofed and the bedding newly replaced in 2017!

Reviewed By Lois BThis charming small hotel across from small cove beach was delightful. We stayed a week. The owners were so accommodating. Dinner 3X per week was delicious. Al fresco dining was socially distant, relaxing & delicious. Highly recommend this charming family hotel.

The family room was TINY and could barely swing a cat around, absolutely zero amenities, for the amount we paid in high season, there were plenty more options. I don't think the reviews here are genuine as we certainly did not have the same experience. What was true was the surly owner, my gosh, he does not know the meaning of hospitality or customer service. Every question was met with a frown and disapproval as if we were pulling him away from nothing! The price for breakfast is extortionate for a selection of bread, yoghurt and squashed fruit which they re-hash daily. Anything ordered off menu is chargeable. The son needs to remain in front of house and the owner just needs to retire early if this place can run as a hotel.Really spolied our holiday.

Reviewed By Christy BWe spent here the first May holidays! We didn’t want to return back!!! Firstly, here are magnificent breakfasts for all tastes. It’s impossible to find similar breakfasts in 2-3 stars hotels among the whole South coast in France. Maybe the reason of it is that the owner of the hotel is Russian wonderful woman, and Russians are keen on eating well in the morning ( the host is Frenchman, they both (host and his wife) speak 3 languages. Both are very attentive and hospitable!!!) Secondly, the hotel was recently totally restored. Everything is completely new: beds ( comfortable mattresses), pillows, sanitary engineering, walls and conditioner. The one that travel around France not for the first time will appreciate these as well. Usually, all 2-3 star hotels look awfully, because of dirt and bad conditions. To tell the truth, we were surprised to see such well-appointed rooms and services in a hotel of this level. Without fear or favor, this hotel deserves minimum 3 stars. Furthermore, Golden sea shores are really close to the hotel and objectively it is a great plus!!! Le Lavandou is a wonderful place, by the way!

Reviewed By love2travel2I booked this place for my son and his girlfriend - as the aportment we usually stay in was a bit to small to fit everybody. This is really a lovely hotel, and the owners are just so sweet and welcoming - the rooms are well kept and with really nice view of the sea. There is a lovely courtyard and it is very close to the city center like 150 meters walk

The hotel is in a quiet little village (not loud and busy as St Tropez or Nice) has cute little cafes and restaurants. It is only a 10 minute drive west into town for lunch or dinner by the marina. This hotel was easily located for day trips around the countryside. Looking forward to our return trip to this location.

A lovely lobby with pleasant seating areas and interesting decorations. Most important was that the staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful at all times.

Reviewed By 412joyePositive points: spacious and clean room negative points: I asked for a room with a sea view. What you can't see on the official photos is that there is a huge wheel (carousel) in front of the hotel between the sea and us (plus the road). It is very difficult to fall asleep early as the street and restaurant concerts compete with each other (VERY LOUD). In addition, the couple of owners is quite rude. The woman is condescending and vulgar and the guy is downright rude. They do not have the proper behavior. They check on you and it is impossible to escape them because you have to go through the lobby. the guy is supervising the breakfast and checking on how much bread you take ... (btw it is a bread/jam/butter breakfast). I think one can find a much better and much nicer option for the price (not particularly cheap). For my part, teh service and the interaction with the owners partly spoilt my stay.

Reviewed By TravelGirl319My husband and I spent 2 nights at Anglade Hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The woman who checked us in ( I think the owner) was so sweet. She was very nice to speak English with me and French with my husband. The room was perfect for the price. We had a lovely sea view and a cute balcony. The AC and WiFi both worked well. The parking was not an issue for us. We paid at the meter one day and for free one day. The location of this hotel is perfect for going to the beach or spending time wandering the streets of beautiful Lavandou!
