This is your basic local restaurant, average food, average service, nothing special about the location, but if you are hungry, it's an ok choice for the area.

Centrally located and pleasantly situated. Weather good and our group of nine sat outside. Seating available inside too where decor pleasantly mild. No intrusive music heard. Good service, excellent food and a good time had by all. Mains around CHF 30 but half portions on some dishes available. House wine seemed to start at somewhere near CHF 35 a bottle (did I read the bill correctly? They certainly seemed to be 750 mls bottles) - in which case it is rather less than many eateries visited. Good loos, close to pubic transport. Definitely go again.

a very positive surprise in Lausanne. Good food; we had the tuna and the dorade; the latter comes along with heavenly lentils. The crab avacodo mousse as a starter is a dream. The waiter was very friendly despite being alone and serving all guests. If anything the chairs look really worn. Can certainly recommend this place.

Was here for a business dinner in November 2014 - just in the middle of the game (chasse) season. Food was excellent - big portions (2 rounds served) and reasonably priced. Restaurant decoration is not very nice and looks very old fashioned, but this is not what you come here for. Service is correct without being anything special. If you come in the middle of the season, you will need to reserve as the place is quite popular. I will surely be back next year,

Different from the cold atmosphere seen in restaurant of Switzerland. This place is active, friendly and the food is amazing, although it's in the middle of nowhere!! The pastas are just crazily delicious. Forgot to mention service is very nice and friendly which is a bit unusual in Switzerland! Defiantly recommended.

We went here for lunch and we both opted for a beef dish. I had the médaillons and my partner chose the XLsteak. The meat was cooked according to our wishes and was tender and good. The restaurant was full (luckily I had booked a table) so was quite noisy. The service was good and quick.

After an excellent experience with my wife, some 6 months ago, I chose this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's B.Day. All ran smoothly and it was perfect.Matter of taste but I love the ambiance, both simple and sophisticated. The restaurant is small and its human size reflects on the people. Feels cozy and at home.Food was outstanding. I like the menu which is quite original, with a touch of not seen anywhere else. The owners, a young couple, come and greet clients. Really nice. I didnt try the wine as I am on diet but those who did found it original and remarkable.I believe that I'll make this place one of my favourites when in Lausanne's region. Unconditionally recommend once again!

After many years, we have fulfilled our dream of having dinner at Hôtel de Ville. From the gracious reception at the front door to the personal good-bye from owner-chef Franck Giovannini, it was an unforgettable experience. We had the discovery menu: ten courses highlighted in our case (it was hunting season) by a saddle of deer in pepper sauce, very rare and sublime; it melted in your mouth. We asked the sommelier to serve glasses of wines of his choice, to accompany the various dishes. He did a masterful job, for example a delicate Chardonnay for our velouté of pumpkin, but a slightly more acidic Puligny Montrachet for our clémentine based hors d'œuvre. Our bill came to 940 Swiss Francs, appropriate for the outstanding experience.
