We did not get a hotel room despite of having a confirmed reservation 3 days in advance

Reviewed By mruffl320875

We had a confirmed reservation 3 days in advance via booking.com. However, when we arrived at the hotel and tried to check in, we were told at reception that something had gone wrong with the transfer of our reservation to the local reservation calendar and that the hotel is now fully booked and no rooms are available. The reception staff did not offer us an alternative hotel room and instead referred to booking.com to resolve the situation. After we were on a 10-hour drive with two small children looking for some rest, this was the most disappointing hotel experience we had in a long time.

A fabulous place to stay

We stayed in the Flores de Monde with 2 other families in late August. In total there were 6 adults and 8 children who ranged in age from 1 to 10. The grounds of the gite are very beautiful. Plenty of space for the children to play with swings. The natural pool has to be seen to be believed. It is amazing. Surrounded by flowers and no nasty chlorine. Deep enough to for the older children to dive and a shallow wide ledge that meant the babies could enjoy it as well. The rooms were very large each with their own en suite bathroom and very clean. Considering there were so many of us we didn't feel at all on top of each other. The kitchen is well equipped and there is also a kitchen and outside dining area with bbq in the garden as well as the terrace just outside the front entrance. The owner Sylvie had filled the fridge with organic fruit from her farm as well as homemade jam and fruit juice. A great base for exploring the area or if you just want to relax then we could quite easily not have left the wonderful grounds at all. A real find - we'll be going back.

Overnight on trip to Little Yellow Train

Superb old style Chataeu. Lovely room with super bed. Public rooms and gardens lovely. Main regrets Forgot our swimsuits and early leaving to catch train meant missing breakfast. WiFi was good and town had many ATMs within short walk. Needed as you need to pay with old fashioned money.

Home away from home

I was fortunate enough to spend a week in the most beautiful part of France. Puivert stole my heart and so did the hostess and host of Le Relais des Marionnettes. The place was homely, friendly, spotlessly clean. Rooms basic but very comfortable. I felt like I was with friends. (And I was). Aperitif in the early evenings. A kitchen in which I could cook for myself and a friendly face at the end of the day. Many laughs and stories told. (Ask them about the funny Australians who put apricot jam with their Camembert)

The summer activities are proposed every day and we welcome you in a friendly, family and quiet to enjoy and rest during your holidays!

Great Family holiday - Good compromise between privacy and conviviality

Very welcoming atmosphere, allowing both private and convivial activities in our holidays. Safe but free environment for the children. The owners are very welcoming and always ready to help often going above the expected.
